CHAPTER 2- Sunrise.

Santana's POV

The next morning I was up and dressed an hour before Rachel and Kurt were even thinking of waking up. After a while, boredom got the best of me so I decided to walk to the diner even though it was still dark out. As I got there I saw it was open with light streaming through the windows. The bells chimed when the door pushed open and someone walked out of the kitchen, it was Dani.

"Oh, hey Santana." She said with a smile.

I took my jacket off, "Hey Dani, why're you here so early?"

She shrugged, "Couldn't sleep. Plus, I love watching the sunrise from the diner. I love how it goes from all dark and gloomy to just... glowing."

I smiled, "I've never been here this early to see it."

Dani checked her watch then grabbed my hand, "Well sit down, we can watch it together." I sat next to her and she grabbed her guitar, "Do you mind?" I shook my head, eager to learn more about her. Dani started a complicated, yet familiar tune. When she opened her mouth to sing, my jaw dropped.

Here comes the sun, doo un doo do

Here comes the sun, and I say it's alright.... Mmmhmm.

She nodded to me and I joined in.

Little Darlin' it's been a long cold lonely winter.

Little Darlin' it feels like years since it's been here.

Then, Dani joined in, our voices harmonizing perfectly.

Here comes the sun, doo in doo do

Here comes the sun and I say it's alright.

Dadadadadadadadada

Little Darlin' the smiles returnin' to their faces.

Little Darlin' it feels like years since it's been here.

Here comes the sun doo in doo do

Here comes the sun and I say it's alright.

Sun sun sun here it comes oooh

Sun sun sun here it comes

Ohhh ohaohh ohh ohaohh.

Here comes the sun.

We drifted off, staring into each other's eyes. Suddenly, a surge of confidence went through me and I pressed our lips together, immediately pulling back.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking-"

She cut me off by planting her lips onto mine.

"It's okay." Her eyes were playful as she bit her lip, "I liked it."

Hesitantly, I leaned in again only to have her meet me halfway and instantly deepen the kiss. At that moment, the sun hit the diner and it was filled with light, our own personal heaven. As we broke away Dani only had eyes for me, not the diner that was lit up before her.

"You missed your sunrise."

She giggled, her hands lingering on my waist, "That was better than any sunrise."

"So you never told me about the bad break up."

I looked up from the salt shaker I was refilling, "Oh... she just didn't feel the same I guess. She was bi, so it was understandable."

Dani frowned, "She was bi?" I nodded and she leaned in, speaking in a low husky voice.

"I think, you need a one hundred percent saphic goddess."

My mouth went dry and my eyes widened, "Y-Yeah.. that's a good idea."

She grinned, "Yeah."

The thing that's sexiest about Dani is her confidence level. She could literally be dressed as a hobo and still be sexy with the way she speaks. She isn't afraid to say exactly what she's thinking, or be completely blunt.

"So.. Wanna go out sometime?" She said casually.

I blanched. Exactly like that, most people would wait for the other person to ask but Dani just says it.

"Sure... Friday?"

She shrugged, "That can be our second date now that I know you're free. I want to go out tonight."

Her eyes clouded with something that I couldn't place... excitement, happiness, lust?

"Okay."

Dani smirked, "I'll pick you up at seven."
