The first wish

I'm Shirotori Asaka. You all may thought that I am a very intelligent and pretty girl but I am just a normal student who got an average marks and not a really pretty face. I am very different from my friends who got their so-called boyfriends, I had no one...

Just a lone ranger.........

As the bell rang that meant school session had ended,I stood up and took my bag. As I walked home,I saw an old woman got lost. I rushed towards her and asked her if she was lost.She nodded and asked me where is the Kurokami Residence. I brought her there while piggybacking her.

"You are really a good girl..How could I repay you?"

"Its,ok. You don't need to repay me.."

As I walked,we finally reacher the place that she stayed. I soon put her down and said goodbye to her. She soon called me and told me to come into her house. At first I declined because it was late,but she insisted and I had no choice.

When I walked in,I saw a tall boy who seemed to be the same age as me sitting on the sofa. "Grandma! You are back. Why did you come home so late?",the boy said while bringing the old woman to the sofa.

"I got lost and this kind girl brought me here."

"Thank you. How could I repay you?"

I said it was nothing and I told them that I had to go home now. Before I could go out,the boy asked for my name. I told him my name and he got shocked for a moment.He soon calmed down and told his name to me.

"I'm Kurokami Tokiya.Before you go,I would like to give you something.",he said and went to a storeroom. He came out with a wooden box tied with a ribbon."This is your reward for helping my grandmother. Please accept it",he said while handing out the box and bowed.

I took it and said goodbye to them and went home. When I reached my house,my parents asked for my exam results. This time,I scored very badly and I knew that they would scold me. Still,I handed my exam results to them.

"How could you scored so badly?! Now, I want you to go upstairs and study till dinner time!"

I immediately went up and study. As I sat on my table,I couldn't study as my mind was filled with negative thoughts. I soon threw my pen aside and started screaming, "How I wish if I was clever!!"

Suddenly I heard a crack sound from my bag. At first I thought it was my imagination and ignored it. Soon, I calmed down a little. I picked up my pen and continued to study.Suddenly,I started to answer all the questions,including the questions that I never studied,easily. I took a Mathematics book that was two grade higher than my current grade to try.I answered them as easy as ABC. I thought that maybe I was tired ,so I went to sleep.

The next day,I went to school as usual. When I reached my class,I sat down and started to read my book.After 10 minutes, our teacher came in.She placed her book on the table and said that there would be a quick test in two minutes later. Everyone started to get worried. I had gave up with my life,so I did not become worry. Soon,the teacher started to give out the test booklet to us. We had to finish it by 1 hour 50 minutes. Soon,the teacher told us the open the booklet to answer. I opened it and started to answer them. Again,I started to answer them easily and fast. It was like someone was controlling me. After I finished,I waited for the time to past.

After 1 hour and 50 minutes,the teacher staeted to take back our booklet. She told us that we will get our results before school sessions ended. Everyone started to ask eaxh other the answer that they put. I looked at our class elite student. To my surprised,he was very worried and seemed to be scared. Ten minutes before school session ended,we got lur quick tests result from our teacher.

"We got one student who got full mark for this test. The student is....."

I knew it was our class elite student but to my surprise it was him but it was.....

"Congratulations,Shirotori Asaka-san! You have improved a lot! As for you,Yamato,you did well..",the teacher said while handing the test booklet to him. He seemed shocked when he got his test booklet back. The teacher soon walked towards my table and gave my test booklet back to me. I was shocked when I got my test booklet back. I walked towards my teacher and asked her if did she counted the marks properly.

She patted on my head and said that she could not believe it at first. So,she double-checked it but its still got the same marks. I thanked my teacher and walked back to my place. After that,the bell rang. I stood up and walked home. I knew everybody was talking all sorts of reason on how I got such good marks. I ignored them and went home.

When I reached my house,my mother was standing in front of the door. She must have know that I got tests today. I took the test booklet out of my bag and gave it to her. At that time,I also saw the box that the boy gave me yesterday. My mother soon called me into the living room. She was sitting on the sofa while holding the test booklet.

"You copied,right?"

"No,I didn't."

"Its impossible for you to get such marks."

"Its true..My hand just started to answer the questions!"

"Go up to your room and study now!"

Without hesitation,I went up to my room and sat on my table. Soon,I remembered the box in my bag. I opened my bag and took the box out. I opened the box and I saw a hand which looks like a monkey's hand with the thumb folded down. I saw a paper inside the box beside the hand. I took the paper out and it said, 'Monkey Paw. This will grant you 5 wishes. But remember to leave the fifth wish not granted or your life will end.'

At that time as I read that message,I remembered that I heard a crack sound from my bag and remembered saying that I wished to be more clever. I stood up and kept the monkey paw in a place.

"This is going to be fun..",I said while keeping the monkey paw in my closet.
