moonlight shone through my window and a light tapping could be heard.
i opened my curtain to reveal the tree branches swaying in the wind, leaves rustling as a serene feeling washed over me.
this is where i am supposed to be.
i sat up and pulled my slippers on, shoving my arms into a light jacket and taking a seat on my porch.
i look to the right of me and see the same patch of grass i noticed in winter.
i smile and say,
'maybe you were filled with too much hope,
but i was filled with too much doubt.'
but perhaps the combination of those two feelings,
gets you through the seasons.
