A Teasing Love

The Dinner

Yume's POV

I wake up with the sound of birds singing. As I get up, I stretch out my arms. My body feels light and a feeling of calm takes care of me.

I can't help but smile as I get dressed in my S4 uniform, remembering about what happened yesterday.

Flashback

"Wait for it."

"Now I'm curious." I smile.

"You will have to wait until we finish dinner." He says, grinning mysteriously.

I fake a pout but then I giggle.

We talked about various subjects. It was so easy to talk to him and so distracting that I didn't even notice that I was already finish.

Then the dessert came. It was slice of strawberry cake and it looked delicious.

"It was you that did this?" I ask.

"It was Asahi actually. He loves to cook, especially desserts." He informs.

The cake was so good. I even regretted that there were no more.

"Do you think that if I ask Asahi-kun for the recipe, he will give it to me?" I ask. As a daughter of bakers, I have interest in these kinda of things.

"I don't know. He is very secret about his recipes. But you can try." Subaru says.

"I will."

"Well, as we are finished, it's time for the rest of the surprise." He gets up.

I completely forgot about that. I did not even care to see what he wanted to show me. I had forgiven him. But he seemed excited so I just followed him to the tree.

"Now we have to climb the tree." He barely finish and was already climbing.

"Wait, what?"

He stops, his hands and feet supporting him, and looks at me. "The surprise is up there. Come on, it's not like you don't know how to climb a tree." He smirks. Probably remembering how we met. I feel a faint blush as I think what he had might seen in that day while I was in the tree.

I sigh and start climbing too. He was fast and agile. He got to the top in no time.

I took a little longer until I finally reach the last branch. I smile in victory. When I look down to see where to put my feet, I realized how high we were. One thing is to climb to a branch where it's height I can afford but other thing was climbing a tree to the top.

"Hey, are you okay?" I hear Subaru asking.

"Y-Yeah. But you know how I am with highs..."

"Shoot, I completely forgot about that. But don't look down." I roll my eyes. Talking was easy. "Just focus on my voice and continue."

Taking a deep breath, I move my gaze to the source of the voice. He was hidden by the trunk. I support my feet and hands to get me to where he was.

I let out the breath and close my eyes as I lean in the trunk, sitting in the branch.

"See? You did it." I hear him, my eyes still closed. "Yeah, it looks like it."

I open my eyes to see Subaru smiling, separated from me by a mere meter. And holding a guitar.

"So... the guitar is the surprise?" I ask, my tone showing that I was joking.
