Starring: Pin, Jasper, and Aspen
-Pin's POV-
It's fast, but they didn't call me the Yellow Bullet in high school for nothing!
Pin knew this forest. In the direction the darkness was going was a cliff. Pin didn't know whether it could fly or not, but everything he has seen in the last few years basically cancelled all his believes.
"You know there's a cliff not too far ahead, right?" Pin called out.
The darkness didn't do anything for a second, but then it's head suddenly went complete owl and did a complete 180• turn with its head.
"What the...." Pin mumbled in disbelief.
"Haaaaaaah....."
Huh?
Pin tried to figure out what animal it was taking the form of, but it was hard to make out in this forest.
What kind of animal are you? A fox maybe? Maybe even a cat?
Suddenly, the darkness came at a complete stop.
Pin stopped.
It turned around facing Pin.
"Hesh....." it spoke.
"What?" Pin said.
"Heshhhhh....." it repeated, but this time a little creepier.
Aspen and Jasper had just caught up to them.
"What's it doing?" Aspen asked.
"I don't know," Pin answered, trying to keep his eyes on it, "I think it's trying to tell me something."
Pin tried again to try to identify the form, but it was in a shadow of a tree.
"You will leave Animalia, and never! I repeat! Never! Come back!" Pin yelled, trying to see if it can get intimidated.
The darkness did nothing, but repeat,
"Hesh....."
If it can get intimidated, I'm definitely not the dog.
"Do you know what 'Hesh' means?" Pin asked.
"No, I don't," Aspen said.
Pin was about to think of another idea, but a quiet voice spoke from behind him.
"I think I do, Uncle Popcorn," Jasper announced.
Pin didn't turn around, but he could hear something blocking his voice. He knew Jasper. He was probably behind a tree.
"Jasper, what do you have?"
"I have this comic-book at home, you see, and the villain says the word 'Hesh' a lot," he explained.
"Do you know what it means?" Pin asked.
"Villains say it when they warn the hero. It's basically a warning word if that makes sense."
Warning word? Is that what the darkness is talking about?
"What's the name of the comic?" Pin asked.
"The Adventures of Lighting Man. I-I have all 16 adventures, you can read them if you want?"
Whilst Jasper was geeking out, Pin tried to think of any connections someone has in town to lighting.
"Story #7 is my favorite! So-"
"Jasper! What's the villain's name?" Pin interrupted.
"They call him, the Dark Mix."
Dark Mix........ maybe the darkness is similar to that thing....
"Hesh!"
Pin had no time to react, the darkness took off down the cliff ahead.
Pin, Jasper, and Aspen ran to the cliff.
"Dang it!"
The darkness vanished!
"Jasper," Pin said.
"Yes, Uncle Popcorn?"
"I'm going to have to read those comics....."
