I Like You

Jonah's POV

It's a sunny Thursday afternoon. Cyrus and I sit on the swings at the park to talk about what happened two weeks ago.

Everything's been pretty normal since he came out to me. I never really mentioned it. He didn't either.

And that's my problem. I want to talk about it so bad. I want him to know, how I feel, even though he probably doesn't like me that way. But I can't keep it a secret for much longer. I don't like to bottle up my feelings.

It hurt enough being in a 'relationship' with Amber and being forced to call her my girlfriend even though I never had any feelings for her.

It hurt to pretend to like somebody in front of the person that you really like. So I'm going to tell Cyrus. I'm going to tell him about my sexuality, and my feelings for him.

"Jonah?"

But how do I even start?

"Jonah?"

Maybe I can start with...

"JONAH!"

"Huh? Yeah?"

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing... I...I was just thinking."

"Oh, ok... What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing... just..."

"You remember when you told me that you like boys?"

"Yes."

"Well... I have to tell you something too."

"Okay..."

"I....I like boys too. Well I still like girls...but I also like boys."

Cyrus doesn't say anything. He just stands up and hugs me. I'm a little but surprised but hug back after a few seconds.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For telling me; for trusting me with this."

"There's something else."

"Okay, what is it."

"I like you."

My heart beats faster than ever. I just told him. There's no going back now.

Cyrus' POV

"I like you."

My heart stops.

What did he just say? Did he just say that he likes me? THE JONAH BECK LIKES ME?

I can't believe it. This must be a dream.

I realize that I didn't respond.

"Really?"

"Yes... I've liked you for quite a while now actually. I just never really realized it. At first I thought I just liked you as a really really close friend, but then i relaized... It was more than that."

I can't believe it. Jonah Beck likes me back. (hey that rhymed.)

" I like you too. I always have. From the first day I met you. "

A wide smile starts to spread on Jonah's face revealing his dimples.

" Umm... would you maybe... like... want to go to the spoon with me?"

"Sure. Let me just call Andi and Buffy."

"Actually I thought, we could go alone... just us two."

"You mean like... a date?"

"Yeah... Only if you want to of course."

"I would love to." Now the huge grin also starts to spread across my face.

A/n: Hello Hello Hello!

This is a shorter chapter with around 500 words. Even though it's not the longest I think it's kind of cute. There will also only be like one or two chapters left if this book.

I basically started this to test my writing skills and to see if I can write a Jyrus story. And I guess I kind if did a good job because this book now has over 1,000 reads. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!
