"Apologies for the inconvenience."

Jisoo messily ran a hand through her hair, ready to go off if one more plan in her perfectly constructed vacation went wrong. She spent so much time, nearly half a year, planning this trip to Jeju, craving a break after continuously working six days a week at a local diner.

She was currently seated in the airport, gripping a cup of coffee to avoid going insane. She glared at the illuminated board announcing a delay in her flight due to a severe storm.

"Sunny all week my ass," Jisoo scoffed under her breath, cursing the weatherman who promised a perfect vacation for the female earlier that week. She even went as far as packing three swimsuits, planning to relax in the outdoor pool of her hotel and visiting the beautiful beaches of Jeju Island.

Now, situated in the hard seat of the airport's terminal, she doubted the rain would lift at all throughout the duration of her five day stay. She could practically see the trees about to unroot from the intense wind.

Jisoo was already a hot mess from running to her gate after her taxi was stuck in traffic for half an hour, just to discover the delay. Although relieved that she didn't miss her flight, Jisoo was peeved after having to run a marathon to catch her flight just to discover she would've been fine with a brisk walk.

The female sunk lower into her seat, nearly dropping her coffee cup in the process. Letting out an annoyed sigh, she prayed to every single deity for the storm to blow away, for her vacation to be saved. Seeing as the storm will last for an extended period of time, Jisoo closed her eyes to take a quick nap in hopes of passing time.

Jisoo was drunk on the sun and the fresh salty aroma of the expansive beach. She wanted nothing more than to dip her toes in the crystal waters of Jeju, her feet currently situated on the warm sand. Her couldn't help but just laugh, she was standing underneath the clear blue sky, glowing in the sun's rays.

However, opening her eyes, Jisoo was brought back to reality upon seeing the bright board of the airport announcing flight times. She scoffed, realizing her beach visit was a dream when she realized— the preciously occupied seats littering the waiting area were empty. Her eyes quickly scanned the area, landing on the line filing to board the plane.

"Shit," she managed under her breath, quickly joining the line with her carry-on. She glanced out the window curiously at the rain. What was previously a heavy storm was now a light sprinkle and amidst the dark sky, a rainbow shone brightly. Jisoo took it as a sign that whatever deity she prayed to had heard her.

"Ticket, ma'am?" one of the air hostesses asked as she stepped into the hefty plane. Jisoo handed the female her ticket, noting that her seat was on row 26C. She glanced enviously at the first class seats in the front of the plane, eyes widening upon seeing their plush seats.

Moving further towards the back of the plane towards her designated seat, Jisoo regretted not buying at least business class. She finally reach row 26, her seat right next to the window. The brunette silently cheered while struggling to place her carry-on in the overhead compartment.

Fifteen minutes after takeoff, and Jisoo feels a thud on the back of her seat, oh no. The female prayed that it would be a one time occurrence— maybe the person's foot behind her slipped and hit her seat. She sighed thankfully after three minutes of peace, thanking the gods once again. That is, until she felt another thud— two in a row.
