Three days in a row people, I am on a roll! Maybe because I'm super excited to do the conclusion of the season, who knows, but the point is here's another chapter! Just wanted to mention, I absolutely love your comments! Reading them makes me so happy that you're enjoying this book and it's the motivation I need! Alright, I'm done now, enjoy!!
[Amanda]
"Okay, I think we're done for now," Raf declared, closing his laptop. Jack, Finn, Raf, Miko, and I had spent the entire rest of the day trying to figure out the silver dust thing that I was able to summon, which first appeared while we were all trapped in the shadowzone.
I slumped on the couch in the living room, slightly exhausted. "For now?"
The younger boy nodded. "There are so many other things we have to test! Like projection measurements, how it-"
"Hold up," Miko interrupted. "Before we list off all the things we don't know, can we recap what we do know because I wasn't paying attention to most of it."
"Well, we know only Amanda has the silver dust," Jack started, reading off of the notebook he was using to take notes for Raf. "And that it seems to only affect metals."
"Right," Finn continued. "We tested it on wood and it only rocked back because of the impact, while the sheet of metal was pierced right through."
"Also, it's hard," I commented. "And very tiring."
"So that indicates that the silver dust has something to do with your physical or mental strength," Raf deduced. "I'm thinking the more practice you get, the easier it becomes. When we first came over today, you could barely get a small burst of the dust, but five minutes ago you were able to fill your hands with it."
Miko nodded. "Okay, so Amanda is special, the silver dust only affects metal, and it's body strength?"
"Pretty much." Jack said.
"Now what?" I asked.
Raf was the one to speak up. "Keep testing it. Like I said before, there are a lot of factors that we don't know. And unless you want to tell the Autobots-"
"No." I said sharply.
"Then we can only use the resources we have to do these tests," Raf finished as though he already knew my interruption would come. "Are you free tomorrow so we can do more experiments, A?"
I shrugged. "I don't see why not. Come by around noon."
"Glad you actually know this time," Jack said, amusement in his tone and I shook my head, a smile on my face.
Raf stood, packing his things into his bag. "Bumblebee is coming to pick me up because I have to be home before sundown. He should be here soon."
"Can I get a ride, R-Man?" Miko asked, and the younger boy nodded.
"Yeah, Arcee should be too," Jack checked his phone, his eyes going wide. "Scrap, missed a call from Mom."
He hurried out the door after that, his voice assuring his mom that he was still at my house echoing down the halls until he left. Miko and Raf left soon after once Bumblebee arrived to drive them home. Soon it was just me and Finn left.
I turned to him. "Can we keep going through the MECH stuff?"
"Shouldn't you rest?" He asked. "You did say all that silver dust stuff was tiring."
"Yeah but I've waited years to find out anything about the man who killed my mom," I said. "I don't want to wait any longer if I have to."
He hesitated and then shrugged. "If you're up for it."
