The sound of birds singing had awakened the Japanese princess from her slumber. She fluttered her eyes open and let out a sigh. How could she forget what had happened the night before? But she had no idea what the girl looked like. She could only make out her silhouette the other night. But she was impressed that regardless of Chaeyoung’s short stature, she was able to carry her to her bed.
Mina sat up and pulled the string that rang the bell over Chaeyoung’s bed. Mina waited but there was no response. She rang again, but this time her door opened to reveal Madame Sazuki.
“My Lady, she has gone down to do her chores and will not be able to meet you until after breakfast as told.” Madame Sazuki informed Mina. Mina huffed and threw off the covers. “Who’s supposed to dress me now?” Mina grumbled as she hopped out of the bed and rummaged through her closet.
"I want her relieved from chores dammit. Bring her to me." Mina demanded. Madame Sazuki bowed and went on her way to fetch the young girl.
--------------------------------------
Mina waited impatiently as she stared at her reflection in the mirror.
'How unreliable. Late on the first day.' Mina thought and fiddled with her hair. The sudden sound of her bedroom doors opening made her grow stiff. She heard two pairs of shuffling feet. She took in a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.
"Lady Myoui." Madame Sazuki said as if to announce their presence. Mina turned around in her chair slowly and lifted her head. Her eyes darted immediately to Chaeyoung. Her heart had skipped a beat instantly. She grew amused as she saw the sudden awe in Chaeyoung's eyes. She had to admit she too was in awe of the sight of Chaeyoung. A beautiful girl indeed. Mina rose from her seat.
"Hello, I am Mina Myoui. But you may call me Lady Myoui." Mina said softly. 'Jesus, I haven't spoken so formal in a while.' Mina thought. "T-Tora. Tora Nakamura." Chaeyoung stuttered and bowed before the woman. Mina chuckled to herself and let out a sigh. "Your Japanese is impressive. A native perhaps?" She asked and walked towards Chaeyoung slowly.
"N-no my Lady. I was born in Korea. But um, my father and grandmother are Japanese." Chaeyoung said nervously. Mina reached for the letter on her table and opened it up.
Son Chaeyoung is an excessive liar. So be reluctant when it comes to the truth. She's not too bright but smart enough to get the job done. And don't worry, she's somewhat illiterate when it comes to Japanese. So she won't be able to read this letter very well.
Mina eyed the young brunette and rubbed her temple. “Will you read this for me?” Mina asked and handed Chaeyoung the piece of paper. Chaeyoung blinked a few times as her eyes scanned the paper.
“Uh, oh. Oh how delightful!” Chaeyoung let out a laugh. Mina looked at the girl. “What does it say?” She asked. Chaeyoung cleared her throat. “Oh just that Count Yamada speaks highly of me.” Chaeyoung said and smiled. Mina nodded and took the piece of paper from the girl. “Can you read this?” Mina asked and held up a name tablet with Japanese characters. Chaeyoung stared at the tablet.
“It’s your name. Can you not read it?” Mina asked. Chaeyoung lowered her head. “We’ll have to work on that. Now, what of your shoes?” Mina asked as she pointed to Chaeyoung’s bare feet. Chaeyoung blushed in embarrassment. Mina had an idea of what could have happened. She knew her servants to be childish, especially Nayeon. She set a reminder in her head to deal with the problem later.
“Well, you shouldn’t walk around with no shoes. It’s not proper. Here.” Mina said led the young girl over to her closet. Chaeyoung gasped in amazement at the large room filled with not only clothes but with shoes ranging from her favorite products such as Nikes to heels.
“Mm, you look to have small feet so I suggest you wear those vans over there. They’ll suit you.” Mina said and leaned against the wall as she watched Chaeyoung immediately pick up the shoes and put them on. Mina's eyes scanned the young girls body. She looked at Chaeyoung's dark hair cascaded over her shoulders. She watched as the girl gently tied her shoe laces. She studied her face and bit her lip.
'Twas beauty I had seen. From dusk till dawn it is her face I think of in bed.' Mina thought and bit her lip. She thought of it to be ridiculous that she'd use those words. Especially when they came from the man she disliked the most.
"Oh wow Miss these fit nicely!" Chaeyoung said and smiled brightly. Mina nodded and watched as Chaeyoung walked in circles, testing the shoes. "Your name means tiger. Why do you think your mother named you that?" Mina asked. Chaeyoung tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I guess as a baby I had the roar of a tiger." Chaeyoung giggled and stopped in front of the older woman. Mina lowered her gaze to the ground. She wasn't expecting Chaeyoung to be this adorable. She was like a child at most.
"A tiger. A baby tiger." Mina commented and walked past the younger girl. Chaeyoung blushed. "I am going to some classes. Knock on the door at two." Mina instructed. Chaeyoung nodded. "Shall I walk you?" Chaeyoung asked. Mina sighed. "No. I'll walk myself. Just tend to whatever chores Madame Sazuki has instructed you to do while I'm gone." Mina said and walked off. She huffed and made her way out to the garden.
-----------------------------
"Im Nayeon!" She yelled. Nayeon looked up from her phone. "Oh Miss My-." The sound of a slap echoed in the garden. Nayeon whimpered and pressed her hand against her bruised cheek. "How dare you play such a prank on the new girl." Mina growled. She clutched Nayeon's chin. "If you do that again, you'll get a beating." Mina threatened the Korean and went on her way.Mina entered her uncles private building and quickly walked to her uncles private room. "Ah, you're here." Her uncle said. Mina quickly stripped and got into a latex suit. Her uncle licked his lips. "You may start." He said. Mina grabbed the whip and closed the door.
-------------------------
"My lady?" Mina heard as she was finishing up. "Who is that?" Her uncle asked as he buttoned his shirt. Mina shook her head. "Go check who it is." Mina's uncle ordered Madame Sazuki. The elderly woman did as told and opened the door. "Ah!" Chaeyoung yelled and fell back. "Madame Suzuki." Chaeyoung breathed out.
"It's alright. We're done." Mina said and stepped in sight. Madame Sazuki moved aside for Mina who appeared in front of the young girl. "You're late." Mina said and walked past the girl. Chaeyoung quickly came to her feet. "I rushed here as fast as I could. Lady Myoui. Did you hear that whipping sound?" Chaeyoung asked with her head down. Mina opened her mouth but no words could be said. What things would shock such a young girl if she told her. She ignored Chaeyoung's question and began to walk.
"W-wait." Chaeyoung called out and ran till she was by Mina's side. "What shall we do now Lady Myoui?" Chaeyoung asked. Mina turned her head to look at the girl.
"We're going to teach you how to read." Mina said simply. Chaeyoung blushed in embarrassment and followed Mina who was set on walking away from that dreadful building.
