Selena's POV

"Selena, now I'm being serious. It's about mom and dad." That caught my attention. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard him speak those words. What could have happened? Is it good news or bad news? I turned slowly, adjusting my body figure, facing him. "Calm down, it's nothing serious. They just want us to meet up with them."

"And where would that be exactly?"

"Paris. They're out there for business and won't be able to make it back home in time this week to have us all together. They knew I was coming back and wanted me to tell you that we need to get a flight out to meet with them."

I've always dreamed of going to Paris, my mom knew that. I used to tell her that I'd want to go to Paris with either my best friends or a guy that I really loved. Wait... What? Maybe this wasn't her idea. Maybe it was Jeremy's, aka dads. "We should get packing then." And with that, I walked right through Justin's bedroom door, across the ridiculously large hall and into my room, which was across from his.

Justin and I booked our flights, we've both got until tomorrow morning to be ready, and "Our flight leaves at 9AM sharp. Got it?" I strictly spoke toward Justin making sure he got the message; knowing him, he might sleep in and make us both miss our flight. He gave a little nod, knowing I was still a little mad at him for not telling me he was back. I should have known. Who else would it have been beside him?

"Selena, please quit being mad at me - I hate the idea of that." He came closer, wrapping his arms around my figure; ours bodies making perfect contact with one another. "Please forgive me. I'm so sorry." I knew he was sorry, I saw it in his eyes each time he apologised.

"You've apologised enough, just stop. I need a bit of time, okay? To take everything in."

"To take what in?"

"For God's sake, Justin, you're engaged! I'm not even sure who it is, who is it? You even got Ryan to lie to me for you. You know how much he doesn't like lying to his friends."

"Selena," Justin began with a sigh, "don't do this. I'm not even happy with her anymore, I never really was... I just missed you." Justin spoke the last sentence silently, trying to avoid letting me hear him - but I heard him very clearly. Just as I was going to give Justin a response, my phone rang. It was Demi!

"Sorry, it's Demi." I picked up and almost yelled at her through the phone. "DEMI! Where have you been?"

"Hey, tell Demi I said 'hey'." Justin smiled before planting a kiss on my cheek, leaving the room.

"Was that Justin? Is he there with you?"

"Yes that was Justin - but you answer my question! What on earth happened to you? You just disappeared! I don't think I've ever been so worried!" Demi apologised, apparently having to do something very urgently.

"Trust me, I'll explain everything in detail tomorrow afternoon."

"Demi, I'm not going to be in the country tomorrow afternoon. If you want to talk you're going to have to come over this instant before I doze off and go to bed."

Demi went silent on the other line, but I could vaguely hear her talking to what sounded like three other people in the background. I tried to make out what the mumbles were but it was far too muffled to be able to hear anything properly. "I'd love to come over but I'm pretty far away. Don't worry, I'll see you tomorrow."

"I don't think you grasp the idea of me leaving the country tomorrow, Demi. How are -"

"Hey, I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow afternoon." Demi hung up quickly, as if she were in a rush. Did she hit her head or something when she disappeared? I'm leaving with Justin tomorrow to meet up with my parents and yet she still insisted on seeing me tomorrow afternoon - I just don't know what has gotten into her.
