Selena's POV

"Oh, my god!" I was startled, causing my heart to race for a moment.

"You scared me... What are you doing out here?"

"I just came to ask you what you wanted for dinner, Miss Gomez. I'm so sorry to have startled you." He let out a light chuckle as he waited for my answer.

"I don't know... Actually, don't you get some kind of holiday soon?"

"In two days, ma'am. Why do you ask?"

"Why don't you take the next two days off as well? I'm sure I'll manage." I let a small smile go. Charles was a fantastic butler for someone that was only 23. Yes, I know, a little younger than you might've thought.

"Really? Are you sure?" I nodded in approval. "Wow, thank you, Miss Gomez."

"Charles, please call me Selena. It's getting too formal around here." We both shared a bit of a laugh and shared a hug as he left to gather his belongings. I sat back down and thought about what I could eat later for dinner. Perhaps I could have pizza. I spot Charles at the doorstep with his bags talking to the man I saw earlier. I still don't know what he is doing here, and frankly I hope he doesn't rob my family or anything of that nature. I quickly walk up to Charles in hopes of catching him before he gets into our limousine with our driver who is going to be driving him to the airport. "Charles, hold on one second."

"What is it, Selena?" I looked at him, curiosity still lingering on my face, and then he understood. "Ah, our guest? He's asked for me to not mention anything suddenly so maybe you can head inside and find him. Don't worry, he's not a burglar or anything." I gave a nod.

"Understood. I'll see if I run into him then. I'll see you in a month, Charles."

"Oh and before I forget, my name is actually Logan. Charles just sounded more... Sophisticated. That's why your parents told me to use it." Hahaha, oh of course they told him to do that. I let Logan go this time and waved him off. Time to order a pizza!

"Yes... Okay... Okay, thank you. It'll be ready in twenty minutes? ... Yes, that's fine. Okay, thank you." I'm so hungry; I can't wait until my pizza gets here. I looked at my phone and noticed that it was 7:30 now. Where could Demi possibly be? I hope nothing bad happened to her.

Ring, ring. Ring, ring. Ring, ring. 'Hi! This is Demi - sorry I can't come to the phone right now, but please leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.' Again! She always has her phone with her; I'm getting a little worried about her not picking it up. A third call was made and still, nothing. I was getting a little impatient. I took yet another glance at the time on my phone and it was still only 7:33PM. Is that man still in the house? I walked down to the entertainment room to look for a movie to put on when the pizza gets here. Maybe I could watch Divergent on demand. I put the movie up on the ginormous flat screen I had mounted on the wall in here on pause so that I could just hit play when my food gets here. I walked into the kitchen and thought I saw that handsome man walking around in there. "Um, hi." The man turned around when he heard my voice. Oh my gosh, I hadn't seen him in so long. "Ryan?" Now that I think about it, the man I saw earlier in the Lamborghini had a much more defined jaw line and more hair than he did, and even though the windows were dimmed, I could tell.

"Hey, I haven't seen you in so long! How are you?"

"I - I'm great! What are you doing here?" I walked towards him and we were embraced in a hug.

"Demi called." I nodded, it is something Demi would do if she was unable to come by when it was something serious; she never wanted to leave me on my own if it was something she or I found to be a big deal. But why Ryan? Neither of us have seen him in two years - at least, I don't think she has seen him during the times between.

"Ah, I understand. How did you get in?"

"Can't say." I sighed, why couldn’t he tell me who let him in? No one's telling me anything today.

"What do you mean you can't say?"

"I told him I wouldn't say anything. I noticed that usually Charles would be here to open up the door for me but someone else opened it up."

"Okay, but that doesn't explain why I didn't hear the doorbell chime... What's that all about?"

Ryan let out a slight chuckle, hearing the abundant amount of questions flying out of my mouth. "It almost sounds like you don't want me here to keep you company, Selena."

My eyes went wide. "No, no! I didn't mean it like that! I-" Ryan got his finger up and pressed it against his lips lightly signalling for me to stop talking.

"Don't worry Sel, I know you didn't mean it like that. I still get you, you're just curious." That's true. He was one of the very few guys that actually got me. Nodding, I heard the doorbell go off - yes! Pizza! I heard Ryan laughing... Did I just say that out loud? "Still a food junkie, I see." Yep, I said that out loud. I payed for my pizza but someone else ordered pizza as well. It had a special note on it saying: 'please leave this on the kitchen table.' How odd. I suspected Ryan to have ordered this pizza but he didn't have any recollection of it.

"Well um, I guess I should just leave this here then..." I put the pizza down and grabbed a fizzy drink from the fridge. "You wanna join me in the entertainment room?"

Ryan's POV

"Yeah, I'll be there in a second - gotta go to the... Bathroom real quick." I quickly walked off making sure Selena had already left to start the movie. As soon as the movie began, I went back to the box of pizza and left some money there for Selena. I ran up stairs as quietly as I could and went into the room opposing Selena's. "Here, it was about $20." He handed me the money and thanked me, he must've been as hungry as Selena was. "Why are you doing this? You can't stay away from her for the rest of your life, you know."

"I don't know, you won't understand."

"We're 21 now. What's not to understand?" This guy, I swear, is so damn stubborn.

"You can't still be in love with someone when you're engaged to someone else. It's wrong. It's not fair for her."

I always wondered why he got engaged to her. She was clearly using him for his family name and money. "Then why don't you just break it off? If you don't really love her, leave her."

"Listen, there's nothing I can do... She's pregnant..."

"Frankly, I find that hard to believe. Listen, I gotta go. You need to see her." I walked away leaving him in his untouched room. He's going to be here for two weeks, he can't avoid Selena for the entire time he's here.
