Karma's P.O.V.

"What the-" I began to say, looking at the purple haired girl next to me.

I was interrupted by a boy with light blue hair. "Karma! Dude! Sorry about lying to you and giving you false reassurances before, but it was all for a good cause, am I right?" He glanced over at the girl. "You know how she feels now, you don't have to be afraid of telling her anymore!"

I gave a small smile. "Yeah, you're, uh, you're right." I replied to the boy, feeling awkward.

"This isn't funny." Okuda mumbled next to me. "Karma's hurt. He can't remember anything. He doesn't know who you are. You guys messed up."

The eyes of the blue haired boy widen. "Wait, what? What do you mean?" He asked, looking from me to get to back to me.

I shook my head. "It's nothing." I lied. "I think I was just in shock when I woke up but it's coming back to me."

"So what are you waiting for? Tell her! Kiss her!" A green hair girl was telling me as she walked over and stood next to the blue haired boy. "Also, Okuda, if you're going to die you'd only tell him you love him and hug him? You wouldn't kiss him automatically? I should've guessed that'd be something you do. I lost a bet. But anyways, get smooching!" Her voice was energetic and full of laughter.

"Are they going to do it?" A blond hair girl shouted from the back of the room, which made everyone start roaring with laughter.

I glanced at the girl next to me, Okuda, and saw that she was looking down at her lap. Her face was red from embarrassment.

I brought my face close to her ear. "Want me to get us out of here?" He asked. She didn't say anything but she nodded. I took her hand and started to stand up. She followed suit.

"Are they?" The blue hair boy asked, wiggling his eye brows at me. I ignored him.

"It's nice to, uh, see y'all again and we appreciate the gesture but we're out of here...Run!" I took Okuda's hand and started running toward the door, expecting them to step in front of us, to try to stop us. They didn't. They allowed us to go passed them. When we were outside, I saw the boy who'd addressed us in the beginning. He smirked at me.

"Leaving so soon, are we? That's quite a shame but..." He looked at our hands. "Have fun, you love birds." We didn't hesitate before we picked up running again.

"Where's you car?" Okuda asked.

I didn't know. That wasn't a good answer.

"Wait nevermind. Sorry I forgot that you didn't drive here. Let's just keep running for a bit. It's not that bad." She said, panting as she spoke. We ran for awhile in silence until we reached the beach.

I pulled on Okuda's hand when we got there. "Come on, I know the perfect spot." I told her. I wasn't sure how I knew it but I did. Maybe I was right and I was starting to remember things. I started running again to the ocean, pulling her along with me. "You gotta swim. Get a good breath. And three!" I pulled her into the water with me without waiting for a response.

We swam underneath the water for maybe a minute or so before I pulled us up and we were on the other side of this large bolder type thing where there was a nice looking cave. I pulled Okuda who was trying to catch her breath along to the cave.

"Here we go. Perfect spot." I told her, letting go of her arm. "We're away from all of them."

"Wouldn't it of been simpler to have just went to your place?" She asked.

"They know where I live." I said simply, walking further into the cave. It was obvious that I'd been here before because I had a lot of things packed in here with my name, but I still couldn't remember anything.

"So you've been here before? Is all of this yours? How long have you been coming here?" She asked.

"Yeah, I have. Yes, it is. And awhile. I can't remember how long exactly I've been coming here, but it's been a couple of years." I saw a basket of clothes that were warm and started looking through it. "Here." I tossed some clothes at Okuda before finding me some.

I started to unbutton my shirt and noticed that Okuda was staring at me. It made me feel self-conscious, but I hid it well. "What? You liking what you see?" I asked playfully, although she couldn't see much since I'd only undone three of the buttons. "Start changing before you catch a cold." I told her. I finished unbuttoning my shirt before I tossed it to the side. I then started to unzip my pants. I didn't see anything embarrassing about changing in front of Okuda, although I couldn't tell if that was my personality or the memory loss. I already knew she loved me, even if I wasn't exactly sure whether I had any feelings for her or not. It sucked not remembering but I didn't want to tell Okuda I was still struggling to remember because she looked so worried. When I finish getting my pants off, I heard Okuda gasp, surprised.

"I... I was going to go wait outside of the cave before you, uh, took your pants off...so you could, uh... change." She said, stumbling over her words, her face bright red. She took the clothes that she was carrying, the ones that she had still not changed into, and started to rush out of the cave.

"Wait! You don't have to!" I said, jogging up to her. I reached out my hand to grab hers and pulled her from the exit of the cave.

"Karma, you're still naked." She retorted.

"So? Humans are born naked." I replied.

"You know that's not my point." She snapped. "I'm not you. I'm not confident in my body enough to undress whenever I'm asked to. Enough to not care who's watching me get undressed. I don't want just anyone and everyone to see me naked."

"Look at me."

"No."

"Okuda, look at me."

"I said no."

"Manami, please."

"Don't say it."

I pulled her farther from the cave entrance before I got her against the wall. "I'm not going to say it yet. That's unfair to both you and Karma and me. I mean, I am Karma but... I don't feel like Karma. I don't remember anything. I didn't want to make you worried and I thought my memories would come back quickly, but they haven't. Maybe I need to give them a day or something, I don't know. I don't know how he feels or what I'm supposed to feel. I don't feel anything at all. I can't understand how you feel at all right now, I'm sorry. All I have is certain glimpses of the past. But... I care about you. That's all I really know."

"Okay."

"Okay? That's it?"

"Go get dressed, Karma."

"Okuda?"

"Go."

"But-"

"I need a minute. Just go."

I left, going farther back into the cave to finish getting dressed. I sat down on the floor of the cave and waited for Okuda to come back. She never did. She hadn't changed out of her wet clothes either as she'd just left them at the cave's entrance. For awhile I just stared at the entrance, unsure of what to do. But then I grabbed a blanket and I just curled up on the floor, still staring at the entrance as if she'd magically appear. She wasn't. She didn't. The signs were obvious. She had left.
