Chapter Ten

Text from unknown:
*Meet me at the coffee shop at 1*

It is probably The Man In A Mask, I haven't heard from him in a long time, this would be a great opportunity to thank him and show my appreciation.

"Mom am going to meet Cassie at the coffee shop, I'll see you later" I tell my mom closing our front door.
The coffee shop is just a block way therefore I will walk. My mom would have asked many questions if I asked to use her car.
I arrive at the coffee shop and sitting in a table of two i can see a clear view of my surrondings.

I order coffee in the meantime and it arrives. Just as I was about to drink my fresh coffee, a young lady, I suppose in her mid-twenties greets me.

She is a curvy lady with short black hair, brown eyes and thin lips.
"Hi", I greet back smiling and before I could say anything she makes herself comfortable.

"Uhm, not that am rude but am waiting for someone"
She smiles,"you're waiting for me, am the one who sent you the text, nice to meet you Rox, and am Mandy"
"Do we know each other"?

This is weird I have never seen her before
"No, but I know you pretty well Roxanne Davies"
Okay, she knows my surname.

"However am not here for you, I am Ryan's ex girlfriend" she says
"You mean Ryan Smith"?
"Yes, him. There's something I have to tell you for your own good"

Whats 'that something' she wants to tell me, hopefully not that she's carrying Ryan's child

"I am Mandy, from New York, i met Ryan in college where he finished his degree. We found love and I got pregnant as the result. He promised to take good care of me and the baby and one night he was gone. He left nothing, not even a simple note. I moved on. In fact I hate him. He left me with nothing. I experienced pregnancy on my own. He was not there. He abandoned his own son. I regret falling Inlove with him"

She continues...

"My son needs a present father Roxanne"

My heart broke minutes ago, what I did to deserve this. Ryan is expecting and he is not even man enough to stand up to his responsibilities.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"because you are going to be more intrested in what i have to say next" fake smile.
She wants to say more but is interrupted by Cassie.
"Hey Cassie, this is Mandy, Mandy Cassie" I introduce them.
"Well, nice to meet you Mandy, I saw you and thought I should come by, would love to stay and chat but I have to go"

Cassie leaves the coffee shop and leaves me with Ryans baby mama

"That is Ryan's sister" I tell her.
"I know, as i was saying you dont know Ryan, he is not who he says he is"
"This is getting interesting, so who is he"? I ask jokingly

"I can't tell you now, just know you're not safe with him around, they are coming and very soon, they know you are his weakness. If you know what is good for you and him you have to stay away from him". She says in a bitter tone and it starts to scare me.

She walks out
