The sea sighed against the sand as she stared unblinkingly into off into the sunset. Oblivious to the sorrow filled eyes watching her.
Even with the sky alight with fire, her heart was overcast with shadows. He tried to reach out to her, he always did. He was always there for her, in sun, sea or stars; clouds, fire or rain. The tears began to fall, drifting, ever slowly and forlornly down her face.
She leaned into him. And there they stayed. Watching, dreaming as the sky was slowly steeped with stars.
