Chapter 28: Sneaking In

                                                                                Emma's POV
                                                     Time: 10:00 pm                     Date: Wednesday
I quickly grabbed random black clothes out of my closet, put them on, braid my hair, grab my de-coder, and slip out of my window, making sure to leave it open a crack.
My friends are gonna kill me if they find out I'm hacking another Principal's computer again..... Oh well.
Gene pulls up only minutes later, and I hop in the passenger seat.
Me- Sup?
Gene- Nothing much.
Zenix- Hey Emma, you know you don't have to help us... right?
Me- Yes, but that's not going to stop me from doing it. Plus it's not hard when you have a de- coder, and it's not my first time.
Sasha- You've done this before?
Me- Yep! Not a big deal.
Gene- Told you she'd fit right in.
Me- Less talky more drivey or we'll have to worry about sneaking around the janitors.
Gene- Okay, jeeze! I'm driving!
                                                                  Time Skip: A few minutes later
We pull up a few blocks away from the school.
Me- Okay, here's the plan. We can't go through the front door, but we can go through Mr. Monroe always leaves his window open.
Sasha- But his classroom is on the 3rd story! I'm not climbing up all that!
Me- Then, you can be the lookout at the garden and hide in the bushes.
Zenix- What do you want me to do?
Me- Climb up with us, but stay in Mr. Monroe's classroom. That way if Sasha sees someone, you can pull the rope up so none of us get caught for "breaking and entering".
Gene- So what do we do?
Me- We get to sneak into the Principal's room and change your grades. Now, you guys will only have 'A's and 'B's because straight 'A's will make people suspicious.
Gene- Okay, but one question? How do we get the rope?
Me- You haven't noticed the rope around my waist, the pins in my hair, the de-coder in my pocket, and the lock pick on a necklace around my neck yet?
Sasha- Wow, you're prepared for a lot of stuff!
Zenix- If you have a lock pick, then why do you have the pins in your hair as well.
Me- Well, if the cops take one away I have another..... Hehehe
Gene- I am both amused and scared at the same time.....
Me- Good! Now let's go.
                                                                    Gene's POV
She gets out of the car and we all follow her.
(Every time Emma, Gene, Zenix, and Sasha talk now the whisper)
When we reach the parking lot, Emma let's out a sigh of relief.
Emma- Janitors aren't here yet. We should be good until 11, but let's make this fast. Got it?
Gene- Got it.
Sasha- Same.
Zenix- Alright let's go, I wanna break in already.
Emma- God Zenix, don't make me laugh while we're sneaking around! I don't want to go to jail.
Zenix- Sorry.
We continue on until we reach the back of the building.
Emma- Before I scale the building, can anyone throw that high.
Everyone was so silent, you could hear the crickets in the grass below us chirping.
Emma- That's what I thought. I'll throw the rope down when I get up.
Me- Be careful.
Emma- No promises.
We all watch as she scales the side of the building.
Sasha- I'm going to go get in position. I'll see you guys in a minute.
Sasha runs off and Emma continues to climb while Zenix and I wait below. Then, Zenix started up a conversation.
Zenix- Have you been felling alright?
Me- Yeah, why you ask?
Zenix- Two reason. 1. Ever since Emma arrived and you met her, you've never even touched a spray can to spray paint something you weren't suppose to. And 2. You haven't forced her into doing our rituals and everything to join the Shadow Knights.
Me- I have?
Zenix- Yeah, I mean right now is the perfect opportunity to spray paint something and you didn't even bring any spray paint.
Me- Can you keep a secret? From everyone.... even Sasha.
Zenix- Sure, what's up?
Me- I have a crush on Emma...... I don't think she'll ever like me back but..., that's why I'm not doing any of that.
Zenix- Awwww that's cute. Gemma I ship it.
Gene- Ugh, not you too. The whole "ship" thing is why I don't want to tell Sasha. I know she still does that in her free time.
Zenix- Yep, she still does.... and it's still terrifying.....
A rope flies down in front of our faces, and I look up to see Emma motioning is up.
Me- Well, let's get to climbing. We both climb up the rope and hop into the classroom.
Emma- Alright Gene, let's go.
Me- Right behind you.
We start walking towards the office and make it in record time.
Emma- We better hurry this up.
Me- Why?
Emma- 20 minutes until it's 11.
Me- Crap! You're right we better hurry.
Emma pulls out the lock pick, unlock the door, runs in and starts going through codes and other stuff I can't recognize on the computer.
Me- Woah, what is all this stuff...?
Emma- Different series of codes. Thanks to my de-coder I can find the right codes to open stuff with pretty easily. Just gives me a few more seconds and all three of your grades will be changed.
Me- That fast?
Emma- That fast.
Me- You're good at this.
Emma- Thanks, and.... done!
She shuts the computer and makes it look like we were never here.
Emma- Now, let's get out of here.
Me- What's that noise?
A rumbling noise starts coming form down the hall.
Emma- Janitor, we got to hide.
Me- Yeah, but where?
Emma- My locker.
Me- What?
Emma runs over to a locker, and opens it with ease.
Emma- Hurry get in.
Ummm, okay either get in or get caught.... Okay that's a dead give away.
I get in the locker beside Emma as the shuts it.
Emma- Crap! That was loud.... stay quiet..
The janitor starts to walk quicker and head in our direction. He stops in front of the locker and hesitates before he shrugs it off and continues down the hall. As soon as he's gone Emma lets out a long sigh of relief, and I do too.
Emma- God that was close...
Me- Agreed. Now here's the hard part... how do we get out of here?
Emma- Zenix.
Me- Oh......
Emma- Would you text him? I don't have his number.
Me- On it.
( conversation between Gene, Sasha, and Zenix on phone)
Gene- Zenix can you come to the principal's office please?
Zenix- What happened! Are you guys okay?! We've been trying to tell you a janitor showed up!
Me- We got our grades changed and the janitor started to walk towards the hallway, so we hoped in Emma's locker and now we are stuck and can't get out. Help.
Zenix- Wait... so you're trapped in a locker with your crush?
Me- Ummm, yeah....
Sasha- GENE HAS A CEUSH ON EMMA?!?! WHERE WAS I WHEN THIS HAPPENED?!?!
Me- Crap! I forgot this was a group chat.
Zenix- Oh crap! I forgot too!
Sasha- YES! GEMMA IS REAL! THIS IS MY NEW OTP!
Me- Hey Sasha, can you do me a favor and fan girl after we get out of the locker and out of the school?
Sasha- Awww, fine.
Zenix- I'm on my way over.
Me- Sasha go Wait by the car.
Sasha- Fine.
(End of conversation)
                                                                                       Emma's POV
Gene- Zenix is on his way.
Me- Good I hate being in lockers.
Gene- You've been in lockers more than once.
Me- Yeah. They're pretty decent hiding spots.
Zenix- Which one are you guys in.
Me- My locker over here.
Zenix walks over and opens the door for us.
Me- Okay, now let's get out of here before that janitor comes back.
Gene- Agreed.
Me- Last one to the rope is a rotten egg.
Zenix- Wait, what?
I start to take off as Zenix and Gene follow me. Once we get to the rope, we all climb down and I take the rope. Then we run to Gene's car, hop in, and drive away from the school and back to my house.
Me- That was fun!
Sasha- Agreed, but maybe next time Zenix can sit in the bushes and I watch the rope....
Me- Maybe. We will have to wait and see.
We pull up in front of my house, I get out of the car, climb back up to my window, hop back into my room, put on some pjs, and go to sleep.
