I fall to my knees as blood pours out. I know it's my blood because mine is the only metallic blue blood. Steve gets to me and looks me in the eyes. "Are you ok? Please tell me won't die." I try to laugh but it hurts. I start to cough. "Just take it out," I say softly, "take out the bullet." He looks at me not knowing what to do. "Steve, take out the bullet." He reaches behind my back and pulls out the bullet. It hurt but it was worth it. My back healed almost immediately. Steve looked at me surprised. "H-how did you do that?" I looked at him and gave him a weak smile. "It's one of my powers, I have multiple ones." I explained. I got up and ran to the room where the Tesseract was. I saw Bucky in there about to grab it. "Don't do it!" I commanded. He stopped and turned around. "Why did you lie to me?" He asks me. I can see the hurt in his eyes but I don't care. This was the right thing to do so I had to do it. "You know exactly why." I try to stall so I can get back up. "I know it was a mistake to steal the Tesseract but you've made some bad mistakes too." He raises his voice then softly adds, "this was one of them." I can't believe him. This 'mistake' changed my life. "This is not a mistake this changed my life, for better!" I raise my voice at him. "Why else would I lie to you?" He looks so soft now, he looks like he's going to cry. "So you lied to me, to go against me?" He says it so softly and calmly. I see a tear roll down his cheek. I've never seen him cry. This wasn't like Bucky. This was someone else. Why didn't he cry like this when he shot me? All of a sudden Steve and Natasha barge in and point a gun at him. He's still looking at me. As if nothing else exists but me and him. He puts his hands up in surrender. They handcuff him and take him away. I'm the only one left with the Tesseract. I sigh and turn to exit the room. As I walk back to the empty apartment, I hear faint grunts. I look down the alley and see something and someone I would never have expected to see. My father.
"Dad?" He turns in surprise at the sound of my voice. His frown turns into an evil smirk. "There you are!" He began to get closer to me, "where have you been? Your mother and I were worried sick!" He gets even closer to me. "Yeah I bet you were, before you killed her." I say sternly. Bad memories come flooding over me. He grabs my wrist tightly. My eyes widen as an evil smirk spreads across his face. I try to squirm out of his grip, but it's to late. He twists my wrist behind my back. He let's go of my wrist and I fall to the ground. Before I can get up he kicks me in the gut. I roll over into the street. He kicks me again, and again, until there's grass underneath me. "You will die just like your mother did." And he begins to kick me again. I can't breathe and I can't move. I lay on the ground waiting in pain. The world seems to be greeting darker, but I push forward not letting it get to me. My body is trying to heal as fast as possible, but it can't. I hear someone shout me name. I look over and see Steve running towards me. My father lay on the ground, in a pool of blood. Steve picks my head and places it in his lap. He strokes my hair and tries to keep me awake. "Please just stay awake!" He begs. "Steve." I try not to close my eyes. My chest heaves up and down. Gasping for air I manage to choke something out. "Steve," I can't finish I hear sirens and I feel like closing my eyes and sleeping forever. But I can't. "Please just don't go! Stay awake a little bit more!" He begs. "Don't leave me." I see tears roll down his face. I lift up my hand and wipe them away. The paramedics come over to me put me on a gurney. Steve holds my hand on the way to the hospital. I try yo stay awake but it's hard. "Steve." He comes close to my face. "Yeah?" That's all I hear before I black out.
* two days later *
My eyes flutter open, then close again. The light is to bright, and it hurts. I manage to open them after a while. I see Steve and Natasha talking outside the room. I look to my right and see a heart monitor beeping normally. I look back and see Steve walk in and Natasha storm off. They probably got into a fight. "Your awake!" He says surprised. I smile at him, "yeah." He walks next to me and pulls up a chair. "How are you feeling?" He asks. "Well better, but still a little light headed." I reply. "That's great." He smiles back at me. When the door opens I look and see Natasha. She gives me a small smile, then takes a chair next to Steve. We continue to talk about stuff that has been going on in the past two days, until a doctor comes in. "I'm sorry to bother you, but we need take 1 more test then she can go home." She pauses, "or wherever you superhero's go." She turns around to face a computer and types stuff in, while Natasha and Steve go wait in the waiting room.
