Kana's eyes opened. She was floating on the surface of water. The only other people there were kids a few years older than she was. They were unconscious. A melodic voice echoed through Kana's mind.
You are the ocean's gray waves.
Destined to seek,
Life beyond the shore just out of reach.
Yet the waters ever change.
Flowing like time.
The path is yours to climb.
Drifting in and out of awareness, Kana didn't have the strength to process she was sinking. She couldn't notice the water was slowly turning red. As her eyes closed yet again, she caught a glance of the individuals in this sleepy haze with her.
And one in particular before her head rolled back and everything went black.
