Mary-Sues are always right. They get a hunch that someone is up to no good? They're right. They get a dream that shows them exactly what will happen? They're right. Oooh, and they also know Kung-Fu, fifty different languages, pick locks, and how to crack an egg with one hand, especially when it's convenient for them.
Guys, you can't let the character know everything about everything. They need to be kept in the dark. They need weaknesses. They need to know what fear and doubt is, because that's what your readers know.
