Chapter 27

Niall's POV:

I stood in the doorway and listened to her rant to Liam. It hadn't bothered me much until she brought up the fact that I was too "overprotective" and then started talking about Harry. I was practically fuming when she turned around.

She gasped. " Niall I.. "

" Stop. I don't want to hear some pathetic excuse. If I'm so overprotective, why don't you run off with Harry like you did before? " I spat.

" Niall please.. I just.. " she couldn't get the words out, she was literally bawling.

My heart melted as I watched the only girl that I ever truly loved break down in front of me. All of my anger faded as I walked over and gathered her in my arms.

" Hey.. sshh. It's okay, I'm sorry. " I cooed, trying to calm her down. Quiet sobs racked through her body as she snuggled closer into my chest. I looked over to Liam, who shook his head and walked out.

I sighed and pulled Jenna closer. I didn't know exactly what happened between her and Harry but I'm sure that could be forgiven.. anything to keep her.

She had finally calmed down enough after what felt like forever but was probably only 20 minutes.

" Niall I'm so sorry.. I shouldn't have went out against your will but you're just so..so.. " she struggled to find a word.

" Overprotective? " I filled in, using the exact word she used to describe me earlier.

She sighed and nodded.

" It's only because I love you. "

" I know. "

" Then why did you go out when I told you not to?? " I asked, my anger resurfacing.

" Because Niall, you should trust me enough to go out on my own without you. Also, because you can't tell me what to do. I'm not some little child that you can boss around. " she states quietly.

I roll my eyes in annoyance. I knew she was right, but I wasn't going to admit it. Never. I couldn't come up with a comeback so I just stormed out of the kitchen.
