'This year is really going to blow' You think to yourself as you stare across the Great Hall at the Gryffindor table.

You had a huge secret, and I mean HUGE. So huge in fact that you couldn't even tell your best friend, Draco Malfoy, or your cousin, Marcus Flint, who had just recently graduated from Hogwarts.

You had a crush on *gasp* George Weasley

Of all people! A WEASLEY! Ever since you and the Weasley twins started at Hogwarts 5 years ago, you were immediately drawn to them. You remember seeing them at the sorting ceremony and being devastated when they were sorted into Gryffindor, because you knew for a fact that you'd be in Slytherin. Your whole family before you had been, and besides, you were hoping for it so you could be around Marcus. Although you were a Slytherin, you were quite shy and didn't make friends very easily. Marcus was like the older brother you never had but always wanted; he'd protect you from everything, help you with everything, and keep all your secrets...well...ALMOST all your secrets. You knew that if you were to breath a word of your forbidden crush to him it wouldn't go over well, not even with your cousin. The only other friend you had,you made by chance, Draco Malfoy, when he tried to take you spot as the Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team last year. No way he'd take it, especially not with Marcus as team Captain, so you told Draco that maybe he could have your spot when you left (fat chance seeing as Malfoy really wasn't very good), but made a promise that when you became team captain that he could be on the team (even if it was just as an alternate). So inadvertently, your best friend became Draco Malfoy. You knew that Draco HATED the Weasleys. They were much poorer than the Malfoys and also liked Muggles and Moodbloods, making them mortal enemies seeing as the Malfoys couldn't stand them. No, this secret had to stay locked in your mind. Besides, George would never like you anyway. You were a Slytherin after all, and everyone knows that Gryffindors hated Slytherins.

"Hey, (Y/N)," Draco's voice said from next to you, "what are you staring at?"
You quickly snapped out of your trance, "Oh nothing Draco. I was just thinking about how I wish Marcus were here. I haven't had to do a year at Hogwarts without him yet, and I think it'll be difficult." you say with a sigh. It was true after all. You relied heavily on the aid of your cousin, if only for emotional stability.
"Well...I'm still here right? So you can rely on me now!" Draco said, puffing out his chest
"Yeah sure Draco. I think the sorting ceremony is about to start, so pay attention" you say drawing your attention to the front of the room to glare at the scared first years.

You barely heard any of their names get called because you were thinking about George. Geez, why couldn't you just forget it! It was obvious he'd never like you, I mean, even as we speak he and his twin brother, Fred, BOOed each first year that was sorted into Slytherin? He'd never even look at you in any of your shared classes. He was just so funny and kind to his friends, and every funny prank that had happened at this school was partly because of him! And he was so desperately cute with that firey-red hair, those beautiful brown eyes, and sweet smile; you wanted nothing more than to be close to him. To be able to laugh and joke with him. To sit on the grounds in the starlight with him. To be happy with him.

"(Y/N)..." you hear Draco say, "are you....are you staring at...WEASLEY???" He sounded disgusted.
You were so caught in a daydream you didn't realize, your gaze had drifted back onto the goofy redhead across the hall.
"W-what?! No way! Of course not! HAHA! Draco you are too funny sometimes, ya know?" you scoff.

Of course, he was right, but you couldn't let him know. He wouldn't understand. Abandoning all hope, you glance down at your food which had just appeared on your plate. You begin to eat, trying to not look up for the duration of the meal, trying to not turn red from embarrassment.
