—————–
You had thought the days preceding your Hogsmede visit drug on, but nothing drug on as long as the weeks before you were to head to The Burrow for Christmas. It felt like it would be an eternity before you'd get your amazing holiday! But even so, the wait wasn't bad. After your day with George, new people actually started talking to you! Of course George and his brother Fred started talking to you much more in the classes you shared, but also Lee Jordan, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and even Harry Potter were approaching you and making polite conversation as if you had been friends all along! You assumed it was due to George telling them to, but regardless, they were new friends and you loved having them around.
The weeks before the Holiday break were much better than any of the previous years. Every once in awhile the Gryffindor Quidditch Team would come watch the Slytherin team practice and you'd get to talk more with Fred, George, and Harry. When in the library, Hermione would help you study (you always had a hard time focusing), and Ron and Ginny would talk to you about anything they could come up with.
You hung out with Draco too of course because you couldn't just toss him to the side. He was your best friend and had been long before all of your new friends. Draco would question you every day in the Great Hall during meals about why you'd hang out with the Gryffindors, but you'd always reply the same:
"They really aren't bad Draco, you should give them a chance."
He wasn't too happy with this at first, but once he saw that you were happier, he lightened up a bit. After all, he knew the secret that was being kept, and now wanted you and George to be together just as much as Marcus wanted it (although Draco would never admit that).—————–
Finally the day had come! You were all packed for the break, and led by George Weasley, you boarded the Hogwarts Express heading for King's Cross Station. You sat with George (of course), Fred, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny because they were all also heading to The Burrow for Christmas. You felt slightly nervous seeing as you would be the only Slytherin invited and had never met any of he other Weasleys, but you were excited. A whole Holiday with George!
"Finally we're here!" Ron Weasley said, looking out the window as the train pulled into the station.
"Don't worry, I'll get your trunk," George smiled at you, getting your luggage.
"Th-thanks!" you say, butterflies welling up in your stomach, "I'll meet you guys on the Platform, I want to say goodbye to Draco."
You got up out of your seat and made your way over to the blonde boy.
"Hey Draco!" You exclaimed, "just wanted to wish you a good Holiday!" You pulled him into a hug, and he smirked.
"Hey, you too (Y/N)! And good luck with the blood trait- I mean...the Weasleys"
You glared at him, not amused, but he quickly said, "Sorry! I'm trying. I've been made to think a certain way for a long time. In all honesty, have fun." You gave him one more hug, then left the train, heading for the redheaded family.
They weren't hard to find, not only because of their hair, but you supposed George told his mum who you were because she had run to you instead of you having to walk to them.
"Oh you must be (Y/N)! Yes dear, George has told us soooo much-" she began, but was cut off by George,
"Mum! Stop it!" His face was turning a pinkish color, and Mrs. Weasley stopped, but her smile stayed.
"Thank you for letting me come, Mrs. Weasley!" you said
"Oh of course dear! You're always welcome, and you can call me Molly!" she replied, then led the massive group to the car.
—————–The journey to The Burrow was surprisingly short, and once you arrived you were taken aback. The Burrow was the cutest and most comfy looking home you'd ever seen. You felt an overwhelming welcome feeling just looking at it, and upon walking inside, you felt warm and loved. You never knew a house could feel so wonderful.
"(Y/N), you'll be staying up with Ginny and Hermione!" Molly beamed, and George took you up to Ginny's room along with your trunk.
"Your house is so amazing!" You say to George "I love it here!"
"Well that is comforting," George said as you walked into Ginny's room, greeting the two girls already inside.
"I was a little worried honestly, because I was thinking you probably lived in a much larger and extravagant house," He sheepishly continued. It was true, you lived in a much larger house, and it was much like a museum with all the pricey items inside, but you liked The Burrow much more because instead of just feeling like a house, it felt like a home, and you were sure to tell George this. He immediately felt a bit better, and brightened up quite a bit.
"Well, I have to go help Fred with some things," He said with a little grin, "I'll see you three a dinner!" George left the room, and you felt flustered. You were sure your face was a bright red color, and your suspicions were confirmed when you heard a bit of giggling from behind you. You had almost forgotten Hermione and Ginny were here! Seeing your shocked expression, they quickly calmed you down.
"You fancy George, don't you?" Ginny said with a smile on her face. All you could do was nod, because you couldn't think of anything to say. Ginny and Hermione shared a quick glance, and their smiles grew even larger with excitement. What were they so happy and excited about?
"Well don't worry (Y/N). We promise we won't tell anyone!" Hermione said, "It's just really cute!"
"Yeah!" Ginny added, "and I personally don't think you need to worry too much. You might be surprised!"
This didn't make any sense to you, but you were glad they weren't making fun of you and that they'd keep your secret.
