Chapter 1

"Oh you definitely suck, Jeon Jungkook!"

"Don't be such a hypocrite, Kim Taehyung!"

Hoseok decides that he's had enough of the two's annoying banter and decides to stand in between the two.

"That's enough, you two. How are you supposed to work harmoniously together if you are always at each other's throats?" Hoseok says, fixing the two with a stern glare.

"We're actors, hyung. We can act like we like each other when other people are around. I'm not the best actor for nothing," Jungkook says to the scriptwriter.

"I'm sure my five Oscars have something to say about that, Jeon," Taehyung says.

"Shut up, Kim. I've got three and soon I'll have more than you do," Jungkook replies, scowling.

"Even if you do, your awards won't come close to my room full of shining trophies from every awards show," Taehyung says.

"All right, you two can stop now. Filming resumes in a few and your make up has to be retouched. Tae, come on," Jimin, Taehyung's makeup artist and best friend, says.

Taehyung follows Jimin to his dressing room but not before sending a smug smile in Jungkook's direction, making the younger scowl even more.

"Kook, if you smile even more, you'll have wrinkles by the age of 30," Hoseok says.

"Whatever, hyung. Didn't you see the condescending smile the guy gave to me? I don't know how you can stand him!" Jungkook says.

"Honestly, you're the only one who has a problem with him. Taehyung's a really fun guy to be with and he's an absolute sweetheart. I don't know why YOU can't stand him," Hoseok says.

Jungkook sits on the couch ignoring his hyung. He knows why he can't stand Kim Taehyung. His hatred for the guy started on the day they first met.

Jungkook was the rookie actor in the room. He was surrounded by the biggest stars in Hollywood. He looks around the set in awe.

"Jeon Jungkook?" a deep voice says from behind him. He whirls around and comes face to face with the most handsome guy he has ever laid his eyes on.

"Uh y-yes, that's me," Jungkook says.

"I'm Kim Taehyung! Welcome to Hollywood," the guy, Kim Taehyung, says, holding his hand out for Jungkook to shake. Jungkook immediately shakes his hand then bows.

Wait... Kim Taehyung... Why does that name sound so familiar...?

And then it hits him. Kim Taehyung. There was only one Kim Taehyung in Hollywood. Jungkook openly gapes at the guy in front of him.

"You're THE Kim Taehyung?!" Jungkook exclaims.

"Well, unless I was given a different name by my parents then yeah," Taehyung says.

Jungkook didn't get a chance to reply because Taehyung is then called to shoot his scene. Jungkook watches as Taehyung expertly and flawlessly films his scenes, getting a lot of compliments from the director.

Taehyung is everything Jungkook wants to be, an award-winning actor who brings pride to his home country. Jungkook slowly starts to feel more and more jealous of Taehyung as the latter wins numerous awards every year. He doesn't know how it happened but one day he just woke up with the mindset that he hates the guy and he must do everything to win against him. It may be because of jealousy but there's definitely something else there. He just can't identify what that something was.
