"We should do something," you said to your best friend, (y/f/n).
"Well what do you want to do?" she asked.
"We should go to the fair!! It's having it's grand opening today!" you said enthusiastically.
"Oooooooh, that sounds fun! Yes, I'm so down. Let's bring (y/c/f/n) and (y/c/n). It will be so much more fun with them there," she said with a smirk.
You lightly hit her on the arm. She only said (y/c/n) because you have liked him since like the 3rd grade.
"Really...? Do we have to? Like, won't that make it...I don't know, awkward?" you asked, trying to get out of bringing your crush along.
"Welp, it's kind of too late now. I already texted him and he said that he would love to come with us. He'll meet us there in about an hour." (y/f/n) said with cheesy smile.
"Oh wow, well I guess we have to go now," you said trying to sound like you didn't want to go anymore. But really, you were so happy that you got to see your crush.
"Well, since you are going to see Mr. Dreamy, haha, we better get you lookin' like a snack! Let me do your hair at least? Oh and girl...you are NOT wearing that!"
"Why can't I wear this?" You said looking down at your oversized hoodie and track shorts.
"Because, you look ridiculous. Now, go get changed and then I'm doing your hair, ok? I'm making you look CUTE tonight!!!!!" (y/f/n) said with a huge smile on her face.
You just rolled your eyes and went to your closet to find some clothes to put on. After about 10 minutes, you decide on a pair of high waisted ripped shorts with a loose light pink tank top. You thought it was a good color with your  light brown skin. You then slipped on your white low top converse and you decided on no make up, because it was too hot and you didn't want it melting off of your face. Plus, you kind of wanted to go natural today.
You headed down the stairs to find your best friend on the couch, texting. She looked up at you in awe.
"If we weren't straight, I would date you."
You laughed hysterically at this. You decided that you wanted to rock your curly hair so you told her to not do your hair. So instead, you both got in the car and headed for the fair grounds. After about 25 minutes you guys finally got to the fair grounds, and luckily you found a parking spot with ease.
"I just texted (y/c/n), and he said that he and (y/c/f/n) are by the cotton candy booth."
You two paid for your wristbands and walked quickly to the cotton candy booth. You could see (y/c/n) and his friend so you kind of hid behind your friend, not wanting your crush to see you.
"Hey guys! Glad you guys could make it!" said (y/c/f/n).
"Hey, (y/n). I-It's nice to see you here. (Y/n), y-y-you look beautiful tonight," said (y/c/n), rubbing the back of his neck.
Was he stuttering? Why? What would he be nervous about?
"Hey, (y/c/n). Aww, thank you so much . I just threw these clothes on haha, but I'm happy you guys came, too. I just had to get out of my house. It's so boring over there." you said with a sweet smile towards your crush.
"Well, now that we are here, let's go have some fun!!!" shouted (y/f/n).
You all laughed and went on your way. You went on crazy rides like The Ring Of Fire, The Tilt-A-Whirl, The Drop Zone, and a whole bunch of others. You guys got food, and you and (y/c/n) shared an elephant ear since you didn't want to eat a whole one by yourself. You all played some games, but while playing one game you were getting frustrated. You really wanted a huge stuffed husky dog that was calling your name.
"Uuugggghhh! I really want that doggy!" you shouted out of frustration.
"Hey, let me try. I hate seeing you mad," said (y/c/n). He had been watching you intently and he just had to try and get that husky for you. After 2 tries, he finally won! He asked for the big husky and he gave it to you.
"There you go, my lady." he said flashing you a big smile.
You were so happy. You had been trying to get that husky for the past half hour!!
"Hey guys, let's go on one more ride. My mom wants me home soon, but I think we should at least do one more ride." said (y/c/f/n).
"Let's go on the Ferris wheel!! The view of the city is beautiful from up there!" said (y/f/n).
You all agreed and got in line for the ride. After about 5 minutes of waiting, a car was finally available. However, it could only hold two people.
"Hey...uh...(y/n)..? Would you l-like to share this car w-w-with me..?" asked (y/c/n).
"Yes, I would love to!" you said with a huge smile on your face. You couldn't believe that he actually wanted to share that car...WITH YOU! But like, who could turn down that opportunity, right?
You two stepped into the car and buckled yourselves in. Then the ride started to move, starting and stopping so people could get on and off of the ride. The two of you made small conversation and you were having the time of your life. After about 10 minutes you guys reached the top, but then the ride came to a stop.
"I'm sorry, folks. It looks like we are having technical difficulties with the ride. It will take about 10 minutes for us to get the ride starting again. We appreciate your patience, thank you."
"Well, ok then," you said.
"Well, since we are going to be here a little while, I need to tell you something..." said (y/c/n).
"Sure, anything. What is it? Is everything ok?"
"Yes, everything is fine. I just..." he sighed. "Look (y/n), I know that we have been friends since like kindergarten. But, I.... I like you ok? I've liked you for as long as I can remember. I never told you, because I didn't want to ruin our great friendship. But I can't hold it in anymore, like, seeing you tonight made me fall in love with you. I love that you are all natural and sweet and kind and caring towards everyone. You are amazing."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. You were so moved by what he was telling you. Your crush since 3rd grade has liked you this whole time and you never knew.
"I honestly like you too, (y/c/n). I've had like a big crush on you since 3rd grade, but I just didn't think you would like me..."
"Well, I do like you. You are so cute and amazing and sweet, and just...uuugggghhhh!! You're sooo beautiful."
You were blushing beyond your wildest dreams. You looked into his big blue eyes which were sparkling with all of the lights of the night sky. He looked at you and your curly hair, and then he looked at your lips. You looked at his lips, too. You two leaned in and he gave you a peck on the lips. You pulled back a little and looked up at him, your faces still so close. He smiled and gave you another kiss. This one was more passionate. You kissed him back and you two kissed for a couple minutes. Finally, you pulled away.
"I have been waiting to do that with you for so long. You have no idea," he said with a big smile.
You ran your fingers through his blonde hair and he caressed your cheek with his long fingers. You two just stared into each other's eyes, letting that moment drag on for as long as you could until...
"Hello, folks. We are so sorry for the wait, but the ride is up and working now so we will start it up again. Thank you for your patience."
"Awww, I was hoping we could stay up here a little longer. That's ok though, but (y/n), can I take you out on a date sometime? Like, just you and me? I really want to," he said with eager eyes.
"Yes of course, I thought you'd never ask. I've been waiting since 3rd grade!" you said with a laugh.
You two laughed at that, and cuddled until you had to get off the ride. This was the best night of your life, and you wished that it didn't have to end.
