Chapter 4

Jason's P.O.V

It was Saturday morning when I got a call from my  manager, saying I have another photoshoot this afternoon and it was going to be at the beach.

After I talked to my manager over the phone, I headed downstairs to the Dining area. Mom and Dad were already there and greeted me "good morning." Mom looks happy about something while Dad was just reading his newspaper as usual.

"You looks so happy mom." I started. Mom smile more widely while Dad put down his newspaper and looked at me intently.

"Im just excited for the wedding. I know it's still next month but---" She didn't continue when Dad touched her hand and cut her off.

"Jason let's talk outside!" Dad stood up and went to the garden. I looked at to Mom and she nodded at me  so I followed him. I wonder what  he wants to talk about. This is the first time Dad wanted to talk to me, just us.

"What do you want to talk about Dad?"

"Son, our company is facing a financial problem. Are you willing to help?" I was shocked and just stared at his back at first. It can't be, our company is doing well. How it turned up like this?

"Well...Yes.. Of course I'm willing to help Dad." I answered not even sure if I really can help. Dad turned around and faced me as he cleared his throat.

"I'm supposed you already met Alicia." I nodded but still I don't know the connection. "I want you to get to know her."

"What? But why? I don't get it." I ran my hands through my hair as Dad was just standing there watching my reaction.

"She's the daughter of Mr. Garcia, and only the Garcia Incorporation can help us to our problem." He said and walked towards me. "Son, you only have till next month. You have to be nice to her and be close to her."

"Fine, I'll do it" I sighed and Dad patted my shoulder.

"Be ready, they'll be here at any minute son." He smiled at me and left standing outside our garden. So that's it? Earlier he looks so sad and then all of a sudden he was smiling. Wow and not to mention... I missed my breakfast!

Alicia's P.O.V

"Roses are red. Violets are blue. You have an arranged marriage waiting for you!" My cousin Amanda teased while lying to my bed.

"Shut up Amanda, I'm getting nervous here!" I don't know what will be Jason's reaction if he finds out I'll be his wife. Until now it's still a secret and I felt guilty about it.

"I heard we're going to the Thompson. Goodluck!" She giggled for a seconds and then became serious. "I still don't trust him you know, I bet he's just going to hurt you."

"No he's not!" I defended "How did you know that he's just going to hurt me?" I raised my eyebrow. Amanda who's still lying to my bed suddenly sat on it.

"Because his friends were a player, especially that Louis Tucker. Duh!" she answered as she  rolled her eyes.

"I swear he's different from them!"

"What if he's not? You don't know him that much!"

"Then I'll make sure that I will change him!" Amanda just shrugged her shoulder and lied down again.

Jason's P.O.V

I've been walking back and forth here  in our garden not knowing what to do. My hands started to trembled when I found out the Garcia's coming. I kept telling to myself that I just have to stay calm, and there's nothing to worry about.
