When we stepped through the double glass doors of building , it wasn't an apartment building after all! We were greeted by a young gentleman wearing a tuxedo. He had a small black bow tie just at the top of his shirt. He was stood in the entrance hall , looking at Oswald and I very nervously.

"Mr Cobblepot. We have been waiting for you "He said. He was stood in front of us with his hands behind his back. Oswald put his hand up to stop him from speaking.

"Would you mind seating us " Oswald asked politely. The gentleman looked rather nervous of Oswald's presence.

"Yes sir! Right  this way sir" He said. He turned around , his back facing us , and began to walk in to the door at the right side of u . Oswald linked my arm tightly unexpectedly. I turned to him . He was blushing sightly , but his gleaming smile made me grin back at him.

"Come, my dear" He said. We walked together , following the young gentleman in to a well lit , bright room . It was a restaurant . It was empty apart from the quiet music that was played on low volume through the speakers on the wall. All the tables were neatly laid and had fresh white linen draped over them. A chandelier hung from the ceiling down in to the center of the room . A fish tank was in the wall , filled with tropical fish . I had never seen such a place. The smell of bacon wafted over to . I closed my eyes and inhaled the sweet smell.

"Here is you table " Said the young man. The table was already laid. Fresh orange juice in a glass bottle on the table , waiting for us. The young man pulled out my chair for me to sit, then he did the same for Oswald. We sat down in Unison and stared at each other from opposite ends of the table.

"This place is divine" I said looking around the room again. Oswald grinned.

"Isn't it . They do the best pancakes in town. I made sure that we wouldn't be disturbed so the whole room is ours of this morning". He was so sweet. Thinking about me the way that he did. He was such a caring person. I don't think any one had seen this side of him . Apart from his mother and I . A young waitress came over to the table. She placed a plate in front of me and then Oswald. Pancakes! It had bacon on top and a small jar at the side of the plate with syrup. My mouth watered as I looked down at the breakfast. I forgot my manners and dug straight in. The bacon was warm and crispy. The pancakes were warm, soft and sweet. It was a prefect breakfast. Oswald watched me. Every mouthful I took , every sip of juice.

"Any good, my dear?" He said. I picked up the tissue at the side of my plate and wipe the corners of my mouth.

"That was perfect" I answered. My belly now warm and full. I looked down at Oswald's plate. He hadn't eaten half as much as I did. I looked down awkwardly and my empty plate. I was starving.  He clicked is fingers and the gentleman that sat us came power walking over.

"How can I help my Cobbleput" He said with a shaky sound in his voice.

"Bill" Oswald demanded. The waiter quickly walked off to the bar and began to write the bill. He walked back over to us and passed Oswald the bill. Oswald didn't say nothing, placed a few notes of money in the waiters hand and stood up from the table.

"How much was it ?" I said reaching in to my handbag.

"Nothing for you Dove. Now come. I have a very important surprise for you" He said. I stood up nervously. My heart skipping . A surprise. What could It be? Surely he cant do better than what he is doing? I followed him back to the car where Butch was waiting. Oswald took my hand and helped me in to the car , before taking a seat next to me.

"Now don't be alarmed. But I need you to put this on" He said. He fished out of his pocket , what looked like a black blindfold. I frowned in confusion. What is this for?  He looked at my face and laughed.

"Do you really think that I would hurt you?" He said in a quiet tone. My heart raced. No. Of course he wouldn't . Would he? He looked hurt as I didn't answer.

"I can assure you , your safety and life is very important to me" He said, his smile dropping. I believed him . The way we had been these last few weeks. I believed him. I didn't utter a word. He slowly put the blindfold over my eyes , tying it tightly in the back to make sure I couldn't peak. All I  could do was listen to the sounds around me. I heard Oswald shuffling in his seat next to me. My heart now in my throat. I could hear Butch from the driver seat.

"Am I still taking you to , you know where ,Boss" Hes said.

"Yes Butch. And hurry up . We don't have all day" He snapped. I didn't move an inch. I could hear Oswald breathing, so close to my ear. He wouldn't hurt me , he would never hurt me. I kept repeating to myself over and over as the car sped through the busy street.
