Constructive criticism is welcome, feedback makes me happy!Summary: "Spencer has never been one for physical contact, so it kind of surprises him when he realizes he likes the way Jon touches him."Spencer has never been one for physical contact, so it kind of surprises him when he realizes he likes the way Jon touches him. It never bothered him when Ryan or Brendon touched him, hell, he grew up with the guys, he's used to it. But Jon is different from Ryan's usually cold fingers and thin arms, or Brendon overly eager hugs and way too enthusiastic love demonstrations. There's always something Jon is not telling him with words, but with his body. The warm, solid hand squeezing his shoulder before a show, just to tell him 'hey, you're gonna be great'; the same warm, solid hand on the small of Spencer's back when they're walking towards an interview, telling him 'they'll never get what we really mean to each other, but it's fine'; the warm, solid body spooned against his back when they share a bed and the arm draped loosely around his waist, meaning 'I'm not trapping you, I'm only protecting you from bad dreams'.Everything about Jon is warm and solid and safe, and Spencer can just love it. Jon is the one who can make him fucking giggle without Spencer feeling girly or ridiculous just a minute later. Jon can look at him in the eye during a set, or a photoshoot and make them both laugh for a joke he hasn't even said yet, and who the hell cares if they look psychotic. Jon once made him wear flip flops and didn't make fun of him. Jon is the one who made the first move and kissed him backstage at Reading Fest, then whispered "Don't blame this on the bottle" against Spencer's neck. Spencer blamed it on the flip flops, though. Jon convinced him to let his beard grow and made Spencer understand that no, apparently Jon really wasn't attracted to him for his girlish figure. And right now Jon is lying down with him on the bed they have been sharing since they arrived at the cabin two weeks before. Brendon is somewhere outside with Shane, filming the surroundings or doing some idiotic clip that will probably end up on YouTube, and Ryan is working on some lyrics in his room. They're just lying there, watching some old black and white movie Spencer doesn't recognize. His head is resting on the pillow, and it's slightly tilted; Jon's lying on his side, propped up on an elbow, only half-watching. His hand has crept under Spencer's shirt minutes before, and he's been drawing nonsense figures on Spencer's belly. It's playful and tender, it's not sexual, or seductive; he knows when Jon is asking or proposing, even without words. Especially without words.Spencer knows he'd find it annoying if it was someone else, but it's Jon, and Spencer just lets a little smile settle on his lips. They're not really watching TV, and Jon is telling him 'I just wanna lie here with you, fuck the damn movie', and Spencer couldn't feel more content. He's letting Jon's fingers lull him into sleep and it takes him a couple of seconds to register the change. Jon's not drawing anymore, he's writing something on Spencer's belly.'I'Spencer doesn't turn his head, just focuses on the letters and tries to read them. The television keeps sending images and sounds, and Spencer wants to reach for the remote, but he's afraid Jon might stop.'love'And a part of Spencer really wants Jon to stop, because he knows where this is going, and he's not sure he's ready. The other part of him knows he might die if Jon stops. So he closes his eyes, just to open them a second later when the noise of the television ceases. Jon's free hand lets the remote fall somewhere on the ground.'you'Spencer finally turns to look at him and Jon is smiling, warm and sweet and Spencer thinks he could just melt on the spot, because Jon's finger is still writing on his belly.'so'Spencer smiles too, and angles his head up to brush his lips against Jon's jaw. He places a kiss there, then slowly moves to Jon's chin, nudging it with his own. Jon gets the message and tilts his head down, his finger never stopping.'much'Jon keeps smiling and Spencer kisses him, slow and soft, then bites at Jon's lower lip, gentle and demanding at the same time. It's always like this, Spencer asking, asking, asking, and he only realizes he's doing it when Jon just gives him what he needs. Because Jon just gives, gives, gives, and Spencer knows they read each other too well for their own good.Jon's finger stops and Spencer moves slowly, trying to sit up and Jon breaks the kiss. Yeah, Spencer knows they read each other too well for their own good, but he needs to be sure Jon hears those words. He smiles against Jon's lips and hesitates just a second."I love you too." It's barely a whisper, but it sounds too loud anyway.Jon smiles and kisses him again, and a part of Spencer still wants to freak out about the whole thing. But this time Spencer doesn't have to ask, he knows it's Jon's way to tell him 'it's okay, it's just you and me'. And Spencer doesn't need to say anything else.~~end
