It took a long while for everyone to awake from the demon's attack. Yusuke and Kuwabara were on the side along with Botan, talking about how angry he was that he, son of King Raizen, had gotten pushed unconscious so easily. Hiei, Mukuro and Kurama were in their own conversation about who the demon had been, and how they plan (more so Hiei) to kill her. Mukuro's demon army had gone back to her fortress, many miles away. And Katara had still been knocked under."This is bullshit!" Yusuke shouted, glaring at the red demon sky. The former spirit detective hadn't fought in years, and now he really wanted to kick some ass. The demons before rescuing the human females weren't enough; to him, it wasn't even a workout. He needed to spar with someone who could challenge him.
His eyes went to Hiei as Botan and Kuwabara commented on his outburst, but he didn't listen to them as he pushed through the two to walk straight up to the demon trio. All of their eyes landed on the half human – half demon.
"Yo, I got a bone and I'm dying to throw it out." Yusuke told them, glancing at Hiei. The fire demon ignored him, not needing his nonsense of human words to deal with. Hiei had other things on his mind, like the girl.
"Kurama, you sure about this?" Mukuro asked the red head, meeting eye contact with him, who graciously returned the offer.
"I am," he nodded, "I'm certain of it."
"What are you guys talking about?" Yusuke asked just as Botan and Kuwabara walked up to them. Katara's body was only a few feet away, lying on her back. Botan ducked around them to check her pulse, kneeling on the dirt ground. After a few seconds, she nodded her head, glad the human girl is still breathing regularly.
"We still need to brainwash her so she doesn't find out about demon world. It's safer for her." Everyone turned to Botan, and this was their chance. Hiei walked over to Botan and she moved, replacing her spot. Hiei hovered his hand over Katara's forehead and proceeded to pick and pull her memories; all trace of Demon World vanished.
And so, with a secret plan only muttered by Mukuro, Hiei and Kurama, they allowed Yusuke to take her to the Human World. Kurama hadn't been back in a while, and he wanted to visit an old friend.
*Human World*
Loud beeping sounds vibrated through Katara's mind, jolting her awake. Her hazel brown eyes forced themselves open in fear of danger. A small dim light found itself glaring at Katara and she gladly returned the favor.
Something was holding her hands and she looked down to see herself on a bed in some kind of white room. Confused, she looked at her left to see her father with his head lied on Katara's lap. He was slouching and when he wakes up, even Katara knew that he'd be sore; but she didn't know how long he'd been in that position.
"Oh," a soft female's voice spoke. Katara knew that voice and turned her head to her right. Her mother sat there, staring wide eyed at her daughter. Fresh tears began to work themselves to the surface.
"Katara," her mother spoke again, her brown bangs getting into her eyes. She swiped them aside, not caring what she looked like and stood up. In one swift motion, Katara was met with her mothers loving embrace. Katara was confused. How did she get here?
"Mom," Katara started, but she couldn't get a word in with her mother muttering about getting a doctor. Her mother rushed to her father's side and nudged him softly. He didn't wake up. Her mother nudged him a little harder again as Katara watched. Groggily, her father opened his eyes and looked in the direction of who he needed to beat up. This was the first time he'd been sleeping since Katara went missing days ago.
At the sight of her mother pointing to Katara, he looked where she was wanting his attention. Eyes wide, her father stood up, pushing the chair back and not caring that it landed on its side from the force.
