The next day was really awesome. I went at the agency and we were celebrating my success. Well, this part was awesome, but what came next shocked me. Because of my safety and the safety of my friends, Z sent me back to Ireland. They found a really good job to my parents and they accepted it, so we were moving back. I told this to M too, and he understood that, but it was the best way for everyone.

We packed everything, and the plan was that we will leave at the weekend, so I had enough time to say goodbye to my friends.

I was walking in the hallway at school, when somebody tapped me on my shoulder.

"Good morning buddy." Mark greeted me, but his smile soon faded. "What's with the sad face?"

"I..." I took a deep breath as I stopped walking, then continued. "I will leave America tomorrow. I'm moving back to Ireland, because my parents got a better job."

"Is there any possibility to..."

"No." I interrupted, because I knew what he tried to ask. "Unfortunately not."

We both stood in silence when suddenly, the bell rang, so we started our first class. I didn't really listen, so I didn't even notice that it was lunch time.

"Mark. Before I go back, I need to ask you to do something." I said as we were sitting under our lockers.

"What?"

"I want you to talk with Bob and Wade." I saw that he wanted to argue, but I continued. "I don't... want to choose between you. You need to tell them what happened and that you sorry..."

"But what if they won't listen or even forgive me?"

"Listen, my opinion is, that those are your true friends who can forgive you, no matter what you did or said. And of course, who can say sorry as well." he looked down, but I continued. "Look, I'll be there with you, just please... try at least."

"Right." he said after he took a deep breath, then we started walking out to the backyard.

And they were there, sitting under a tree, talking with each other, not spotting us, until we were standing beside them.

"Hi guys." I said.

"Why is he here?" asked Bob, looking back at the others.

"He wants to tell you something." I said and looked at Mark who shyly stepped closer.

"I... I'm sorry guys for everything t..."

"You should have thought about it sooner." said Wade.

"Yeah, you turned away from us and..."

"I was..." tried Mark, but Bob continued.

"You were what, Mark? You didn't even care when you choose Josh."

"You hurt us. And not just mentally, but physically." Wade continued.

"Now that Josh left you, you think that a simple sorry will help you? Now we are good enough for you?"

"You need to know..."

"I don't really care." said Wade. "I thought we were friends. I was so happy when we met in first grade. But now, I don't know you."

"Have you ever thought about how we felt when you hurt us?" shouted Bob at him.

There was a massive silence, before Mark with tearful eyes, turned around and ran away. I was in shock. Mark was right. They didn't even give the chance to him to talk.

"Very nice guys."

"You don't know what we've been through." stated Bob.

"I know exactly what happened, but I know more than you, and that's what Mark tried to tell you, but you didn't let him." I shouted at them then left, because I didn't care what they wanted to say.

I ran back in the building and searched for my friend, but I didn't see him. I ran to the boy's restroom then quietly closed the door, when I heard a silent cry. I went behind the last sink, where Mark was sitting and crying into his knees.

"Mark." I called out as I kneeled down beside him. "I... I'm..."

"They completely hate me." he whispered. "I'm sorry Jack."

"You don't have to, you tried. It was their fault.

"I want to go back in time and redo everything. I should've told them my father's death. I should've asked for their help. I only became friends with Josh, because I didn't want to be alone. When I saw them, being beaten up by Josh, I always blamed myself."

"It wasn't you." I said as I tried to comfort him.

"But I didn't do anything either." he said, looking in my eyes. "I want to get them back."

"Then explain everything." said someone from behind me. It was Wade with Bob and Felix.

Mark quickly stood up and was about to tell the story, but they both stopped him.

"We have only one question." said Bob. "What happened before Josh came to our school?"

"My father..." stated Mark, looking back at me and I nodded to continue. "He died and... I was broken. Every day, after I went home, I closed myself in my room, didn't talk with anybody. Now I know it was a mistake. And when I tried to talk with you... you..."

"Turned away without asking anything." finished Bob Mark's sentence. "Sorry Mark, we didn't know about anything..."

"But because I didn't tell you." interrupted Mark.

"That doesn't mean we have to turn away. We should've asked you and more importantly help you." said Wade.

"Can you forgive us?" asked Bob.

"If you can forgive me too." smiled Mark, then hugged Bob and Wade, and after releasing he went up to Felix. "I'm sorry for what I've done with you. Do you think we can restart?"

"I'm Felix, nice to meet you." smiled Felix, pulling his hand out, shaking Mark's.

"Nice to meet you Felix, I'm Mark.

After this happy moment I told the others the bad news, that I'll leave. They didn't like it, but I had to do this, so I said my final goodbye's when the school ended.

The next day we left the house completely. We were at the airport, waiting for our plane, when I heard someone, shouting my name. As I looked where the sound came from, I saw Mark, running towards me.

"Mark?"

"I want to thank you Jack." panted Mark heavily, then continued. "You helped me so much."

"I need to thank you too." I said as I hugged him, then we released. "Mark, please protect the others. You are strong and brave enough to help them."

"I will, I promise. But you promise me, that you won't forget me and we will talk."

"I promise. We will meet again soon."
