We walked in the hallway when we saw a guy on the floor and the red-haired boy was kicking him. What is his problem? Like seriously, why is he doing this?
"Why is he kicking that guy?" I asked, turning to Bob.
"I don't know, but he was always like this," said Wade and I could hear disappointment in his voice.
"You know him?" I was confused as I stopped and they kept looking at the scene.
"Yeah, he is Mark. He was our... friend in elementary school, but... look at him now. I don't know him anymore." said Bob with the same disappointment.
I looked back at the scene and saw that the red-haired boy, who I know now was Mark, grabbed the guy's bag and tossed it to his friends behind him to search through it.
"Please guys, let me go." cried the blond guy on the ground, holding his side in pain.
"Shut up," yelled Mark at him and kicked him again in the stomach. "Josh, did you find anything?"
The boy who had the guy's bag was Josh I assumed because he grabbed some money and handed it to Mark.
"No, I need that money, please." said the guy on the floor as he grabbed onto Mark's hand to get the money, but Mark just pushed him on the groind again, snatching his hand from the guy's grip.
Mark put away the green papers and kicked the guy again. He grabbed the bag from Josh's hand and threw it back to the guy, then left him there. It was so rude. I ran up to him because I wanted to help him. I kneeled beside him and he looked up at me scared.
"Please, don't hurt me." he said in fear as he put his hands up in front of his face.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, don't worry," I said smiling at him reassuringly and helped him to stand up, grabbing his bag. "What's your name?"
"Felix." he said quietly still grabbing onto his side.
"Are you alright or do you need to go to the nurse?" asked Bob when the boy winced in pain and couldn't quietly stay up straight.
"No, I'm fine." he answered with a little smile.
"Good," I said as I handed his bag back to him, even though I knew he was lying, but I didn't want to be pushy.
"May I ask your names, guys?" asked Felix as ge threw his bag over his shoulder.
"I'm Jack."
"Bob."
"Wade."
"Nice to meet you guys and thanks," said Felix and he started walking, but his legs gave uo on him and he almost collapsed. "Nobody really cares about me."
"Well, we do," said Bob as he caught Felix by his arm and helped him walk. "Why did Mark start picking on you?"
"To be honest, I have no idea," answered Felix when we stopped at his locker and he started putting away his books.
We enjoyed our day together and niw Felix was part of iur little group. During lunch time we get to know each other a little better, and we soon realized that we had the same interest in video games. When the last class ended and I was at my locker alone since the others already left the building. I put away my things and grabbed what I needed, when I felt two hands on my shoulders, spinning me around and pushing me up against the lockers. My eyes widened when I saw Mark in front of me. I was so scared, what is he going to do with me? Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and I collapsed on the floor.
"Don't you dare help that bitch again, do you understand me?" he asked through gritted teeth.
I looked up at him and I from the way he was talking to me I thought he was angry, but I saw something different in his eyes. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't anger. He turned on his heels and went back to his group. I'm never gonna understand this guy. I stood up and grabbed my bag, then headed out of school. I still felt the pain in my stomach, but I continued my way back home. I thought Mark would punch me until I can't stand up, but he wasn't that angry. Maybe he isn't that bad as the others think, probably he is just misunderstood. He belongs to the wrong group, but because he doesn't want to become the bullied one. But if that was the case then he was a pretty good actor. Then I remembered that Bob said that they were friends in elementary school. I wonder, what the cause of breaking up their friendship was.
As I was think about this I arrived home, but my parents were still at work, so this meant I could do whatever I want until they arrive. I quickly ran up to my room and grabbed my laptop, turning it on then sitting down on my bed with crossed legs. I am a real geek in everybody's eyes when I tell them that I love computers. As I was sitting on my bed I was thinking about hacking. Maybe hack the school? Nah, that's too boring and probably would be too easy. I liked when a security system was challenging to hack.
I quickly opened my program on the computer and started searching. It showed 3 system codes and one was locked. Oh, someone has a little secret. I pulled my laptop closer and started typing different codes in the program. It only needed 20 minutes to find the right password, and I was in. When I entered the password the system unlocked itself and then an emblem was on my screen. NSA? What is that? I read closer and saw the name: National Secret Agency. Oh my God. I saw files and documents on my screen, but as soon as I read the name I shut down the program and quickly turned off my laptop. I was panicking and my heart was racing in my chest. I hope I didn't do anything wrong. What if they find out that I hacked them? What am I talking about, they've probably found it out already. I'm gonna be sent to jail.
That was when I heard the front door opening, signaling that my parents were home. I tried to take deep breaths to calm myself down before I would go down to greet them. I'm not gonna tell them, not a single word... And hopefully, they won't find it out.
The rest of the day was pretty the same as the other days; we ate our dinner talking about mostly my first day. I didn't tell anything about Mark and his gang, I just simply mentioned my new friends Bob, Wade, and Felix. They were so prud of me, but then I panicked again about what happened a few hours ago. Luckily I could return to my room before they could ask what was wrong. I took a shower, a bit longer than I usually do because I was still thinking about the agency and every cenario went through my head. What if they won't send me to jail but kill me to silence me? I couldn't think about anything else and that night I couldn't sleep from my racing thoughts.
