We've been hanging out almost everyday after school, I feel like one of those couples out of a movie.
Luke is the best boyfriend ever. he sends me cute morning and goodnight texts.
The school formal is coming up in a couple of weeks, Elle and I ar e going dress shopping with Lauren and Miranda.
"What so you think about this one"? asks elle, holding up a periwinkle blue dress with a fishtail skirt.
"Gorgeous" says Lauren
"Uh yeah, it's beautiful try it on" I comment.
Elle Struts out of the changin room like a model on a runway.
"Elle you Look incedible" she really does, blue is her colour, her long honey coloured hair and piercing blue eyes make the dress compliment her perfectly.
"So have you found anything yet" asks Miranda, surveying me carefully
"Hmm nope, still looking"
"What about a guy, have you got a date"? she raises one of her perfectly shaped eyebrows at me
"No" I lie
"Your a terrible liar Allison Jenner"
"I know who I want to ask"
"Who"? she says exitedly
"Luke brooks"
"Wait, from the boys school"?
"Um, yeah. that one"
"Oh my cousins friends with his brother, um jake"?
"Jai" I correct her
"When are you going to ask him"
"When I see him next I guess, we're going out tonorrow"
"Wait, your going out"? she exclaims the shop keeper shushes her.
"Yeah"?
"You mean to tell me you have a boyfriend"?
"Yes Miranda"
"You never told me"? she says just below an octave, eyeing the shopkeeper.
"We've only been friends for like, a week" I remind her
It's true, last week we got put together for a project, I asked her an her friend Lauren if they wanted to sit with us at lunch and suddenly, Bam, were friends.
"Yeah I suppose" but that's great she smiles at me.
After we've finished shopping, and everyone else has oohed and ahhed at my formal dress we go for coffee.
"I'm tired" Elle announces after we've sat down at our usual table at Starbucks, I'm gonna head home.
"Kay" I say, surprised "uh, I'll see you tomorrow"
"Bye" Miranda And Lauren chorus
"Yeah, see ya" says Elle cheerily, see walks out the door, coffee in one hand, phone in the other.
Little did I know, I would never be able to look at Elle the same way again.
