"How much longer?" A short girl asked. The blonde one walking out in front glared at her friend.
"I swear, if you ask that one more time, we're leaving your ass out here," She growled.
"Okay! Okay! Geez sorry," The short girl muttered. A very tall man placed his hand on the short girl's shoulder as a sign of comfort.
"I believe she has the right to ask, it is starting to get dark, at that point we will not need the map to find the sinkhole, we will more than likely fall into it," The man explained. Upon hearing this, the blonde girl in front completely spun around, stomping up to the man.
"Listen, thanks for the input, but I'm not going to let a demon of all creatures mess up my judgement,"
"Excuse me? I am simply using logic, any human, demon, elf, or even troll could see that stumbling around in the dark looking for a bottomless pit is a stupid idea!" The man snarled back. A brunette wearing a grey hoodie pushed them away from each other before they could start getting physical.
"Will you two calm down?!" She pouted.
"But babe! Can't you see he's just trying to get us to stop so he can call in a demon army to attack us or something?!" The blonde protested.
"He wouldn't do that!" The short girl from earlier shouted.
"FOR THE LAST TIME EVERYONE CALM DOWN!" The brunette screeched. Everyone froze, their attention turning to her. "Thank you, look, the demon has a point, it could be dangerous for us to keep searching for this thing in the dark. Camping out could also pose it's own set of problems since we have no idea where we are," She sighed.
"We're in the woods! Duh!" The short one giggled.
"...Thanks for that, anyways, we don't know what could be lurking in this part of the woods, so we should try finding something to light our way as it gets dark," The brunette suggested.
"I could light a hellfire," The tall man said excitedly.
"Yeah no, while that would probably be cool, it would also set everything on fire," The brunette shook her head in dissapointment.
"Why don't we just follow the glowing trees?" The short one shrugged.
"Anyone have any- wait what do you mean glowing trees?" Everyone turned to see small flickers of light coming from the trees surrounding their path.
"Hm, seems the fairies are up," The tall man chuckled. It was a surprisingly calming sight. Each light had a different hue, and they would fade and intensify at random intervals. This cast a colorful, dim light on the path ahead.
"Works for me," The blonde girl continued walking, paying equal attention to the path and the map clutched in her hands. The others followed her.
"I hate to sound like little miss impatient over there, but are we at least close?" The brunette asked.
"Yeah, that's why I wanted to keep walking anyways, we're not that far," The blonde replied.
"Oh, good," The brunette smiled. The blonde leaned over and gave the brunette a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks for keeping everyone in check," The blonde mumbled, stuffing her face deeper into the map. The brunette smiled and nodded. She looked onward and quickly grabbed the blonde's tanktop, keeping her from walking right into the giant sinkhole they were searching for. "Shit! That was close!" The blonde let out a sigh of relief.
"Watch your profanity! There are fairies present!" The short one huffed.
"Alright demon do your thing," The blonde one made everyone except the demon back up from the sinkhole.
"I would like you to acknowledge that this is an unconventional use of my powers, there are plenty of other things you could do," The tall man sighed.
"I acknowledge it and I don't care," The blonde replied.
"Please vanilla bean? We'll leave you alone after this," The short one pleaded, pulling out the most innocent face she possibly could.
"Ugh fine!" The tall man sighed. He pointed his hands at the sinkhole, muttering something in latin. His red eye began to glow eerily. It suddenly got darker, the fairies had flown away in fear. The three girls watched as hot lava bubbled in the sinkhole, filling it to the brim. The man stopped, muttering a different enchantment that caused it to rain- no, pour. The girls didn't seem too bothered by it, and continued to watch the spectacle. The lava began hardening to the point where it no longer looked like lava, just hard stone. The man shouted something, causing the rain to stop and the sinkhole to completely freeze. You couldn't even tell it was ever there. The tall man however seemed tired. They walked back over to him.
"That was incredible! I didn't know demons had so many different abilities!" The short one squealed.
"Y'know that rain thing is just a spell, you could probably learn it too," He chuckled.
"Alright alright, good work, no need to try and corrupt one of us, now, let's get back to the village and tell them their sinkhole is taken care of," The blonde sighed.
"There might be a problem with that... The fairies left so... We can't see the path anymore," The brunette chuckled nervously.
"...SHIT!" The blonde shouted.

Prompt Book
Short StoryKiwi and I came up with an idea. She would send me ambiguous prompts, and I'd try writing something based upon it. 3-5 paragraphs or more if I really like the prompt... So... yeah. Hopefully I'll get better at writing this way.
