"Felix? Felix?!" A well dressed brunette man whispered, looking for his companion. No response. "Ugh! That idiot! I told him to stay close!" He growled to himself. He took a second to breath and calm down. His companion couldn't have gone far. They were in a cave that, as far as they could tell, didn't branch out anywhere, meaning he either ran out of the cave or deeper into it. Knowing the "shoot first ask questions later" personality of his companion, the more likely scenario was he ran deeper into the cave. The man kept walking forward, a tad worried for his friend. By now he probably realized the trouble he was in and was no doubt panicking. Who knew a demon could be so cowardly? The man sighed and carefully shined his flashlight in every direction, hoping to find his friend. "Felix?!" He shouted again.
"P-Petey? Is that you?" A voice asked. Peter looked up, shining his flashlight on the cave ceiling. Sure enough, there was his friend, clinging to the cave ceiling, wrapping his wings around himself like a cloak.
"There you are, why did you run off like that?" Peter sighed. Upon realizing the man below him was Peter, Felix zipped down towards him, tackling him and knocking him over.
"I thought someone was following us and I panicked..." Felix explained, sitting on top of Peter with a worried expression.
"What if someone had been following us? You would've left me for dead," Peter pouted. Felix hugged his companion.
"S-Sorry," He whimpered. Peter rolled his eyes and somehow managed to stand up with the small demon still clinging onto him.
"Sometimes I wonder how she puts up with you," Peter mumbled, pressing onwards.
"How long have we been walking?" Felix asked, trying to make conversation.
"About an hour? Or at least that's how long I've been walking, you have wings you oaf,"
"So do you! If you just untucked them from your shirt you could-"
"I don't want to fly, that would make me less human, and it's not like I asked for them anyways," Peter frowned.
"...Right, sorry," Felix sighed.
"It's fine, whatever... Are we getting close?"
"I think so, I can sense some soul activity up ahead, that might be it," Felix replied.
"What are we supposed to do when we get there anyways? Did Blake tell you?" Peter asked.
"I had to figure it out on my own, he was too busy making out with his boyfriend, what we need to do is find the hall of the fallen and collect a corrupted soul there," Felix explained.
"Wait that's all we have to do? Why did you need me to come along? This sounds like a demon only thing,"
"You do realize my soul is recovering from corruption right? I need you to make sure I don't go berserk the moment I touch the thing,"
"You could've brought Alexa,"
"I could've, but I didn't," Felix shrugged. Peter decided not to ask anymore questions on the matter. Sometimes the lilac haired demon made no sense to him. He was just lounging around when the small demon dragged him out of the house with nothing but a backpack and small flashlight in hand. He had been given a short explanation as to what was happening, but this was the first time he was hearing the full story. Why did demons have to make everything complicated? "Oh! I think we're here!" Felix gasped. Peter no longer needed his flashlight, a small opening in the cave ceiling somehow managed to illuminate the entire cavern. It was nice to look at in it's own way. There were statues lining the walls of the cavern, stone slabs resembling caskets laid out across the the cavern floor. Felix let go of Peter, floating ahead of him and pausing for a second.
"Are you alright?" Peter asked.
"I-I'm okay Petey, just a bit overwhelmed I guess, it's been awhile since I've felt this much soul energy and... Not all of it's positive energy," Felix replied.
"So where's this corrupted soul we're supposed to find?" Peter asked, looking around. Felix turned to face Peter, startled by the shadowy figure hovering behind his friend with a sinister smile.
"PETEY! WATCH OUT!" Felix screeched, tackling Peter out of the way just in time. The shadowy figure had taken a swing at Peter just as Felix tackled him to the ground. Felix got up, charging towards the figure. The figure dodged, the smile never leaving it's face. It lunged at Felix, it's shadowy limbs forming into that of claws, successfully scratching Felix's back. The figure managed to tear Felix's sweater, blood streaming out of the wound on his back. He silently considered himself lucky that the figure hadn't damaged his wings in any way. Peter looked on in horror. What was his first instinct? Well to throw the flashlight at the figure of course. That unfortunately just drew attention to himself. The figure stalked back over to Peter.
"Crap!" Peter slowly back away. Felix quickly managed to bounce back and jump onto the figure's back, being sure to hold on.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Felix growled, seemingly absorbing the figure. Peter's eyes widened at the sight. Felix's yellow iris' were glowing, and his wings had spread themselves out. The figure eventually fused into his body, leaving behind a shaken up Felix, tears suddenly pouring down his face. Peter ran over to the demon, kneeling next to him.
"Felix! Are you alright?!" Peter worriedly inspected Felix, looking for any wounds, other than the gash on his back of course.
"It hurts... Oh god it hurts," Felix whimpered, shaking and clutching his chest.
"It's okay Felix, you're okay," Peter tried his best to comfort his friend, gently wiping some of the blood off of his back. Felix cooed slightly when Peter began to pet his wings. "Can you walk?" Peter asked.
"I don't know..." Felix sniffled. Peter sighed and carefully lifted Felix up; Felix gladly complied and wrapped his arms around Peter to keep himself up.
"Come on buddy, let's get you home," Peter smiled, slowly walking away.
"Told you we were being followed,"
"Oh hush, how was I supposed to know the corrupted soul was following us? How did you know anyways?"
"I saw one of the statues at the entrance move,"
"That thing was able to possess statues?"
"I guess?" Felix shrugged.
"Ugh, demons," Peter rolled his eyes.
"Shut up Petey," Felix mumbled, his voice coming out muffled since he was slowly burying his face into Peter's shoulder.
"Yeah yeah, come on you fragile lavender," Peter chuckled.

Prompt Book
Cerita PendekKiwi and I came up with an idea. She would send me ambiguous prompts, and I'd try writing something based upon it. 3-5 paragraphs or more if I really like the prompt... So... yeah. Hopefully I'll get better at writing this way.
