"Hey! Medic!" The lieutenant shouted. The medic looked over her shoulder, stopping as one of her superiors shouted for her.
"Hello lieutenant, what can I do for you today?" The medic asked, turning towards the slightly taller girl.
"I've been looking for you, the reaper wanted to see you in his office, he said it was urgent but... I'm not so sure," The lieutenant sighed.
"Ah, he told me he was in the middle of rearranging the office since we kinda left it a mess after the uh... Old reaper left... He probably just wants some help," The medic explained.
"Maybe, well I've done my job, good luck," The lieutenant shrugged and walked back down the hallway. The medic turned around and walked towards the reaper's office. It was rare for the reaper to speak to her while he was busy, so she was a tad confused. She got to the door, happy to see the old reaper's tacky tentacle poster had been taken off. It alway made her shudder. She lightly knocked on the door.
"Hey reaper! The lieutenant said you wanted to see me?" The medic shouted through the door.
"Oh, come on in medic," The reaper replied. The medic gently pushed the door open. The reaper seemed to have random piles of stuff set up around the room. The only thing he hadn't messed with was the old reaper's sketch wall. It was just a board where she had put different drawings the red army had made. It was the only thing of the old reaper's the medic could look at without feeling uneasy, and the current reaper was well aware of that fact.
"You're keeping the sketch wall?" The medic asked.
"Well yeah, you do like it don't you?" The reaper asked as if it was obvious.
"Yes, but it's your office, not mine."
"I'd like to hang out with you in here, can't do that if you're afraid to walk in now can we?" The reaper chuckled. The medic gave the tall man an appreciative smile.
"So what's up?" The medic asked.
"I found something I thought you might want to see," The reaper opened up one of his desk drawers, pulling out a worn out sketchbook with a quite the tear in it.
"That's... That's my old sketchbook..." The medic gasped.
"I thought some of the sketches looked familiar," The reaper handed the sketchbook over to her. She stared down at it with a confused expression.
"I brought this one with me when I joined the blue navy... I kept it hidden in the infirmary and one day it just wasn't there, I haven't seen it in forever... The old reaper had it this entire time?" The medic trailed off.
   "It seems that way."
   "She teared it..."
"In a fit of rage maybe?"
"Maybe..." The medic carefully opened the book. The sketches were still just barely visible.
"No offense, but you've definitely improved since then," The reaper smirked.
"None taken, you're right, these are awful," The medic giggled. She had a lost look in her eye.
"I hope I didn't bring out any bad memories..."
"Oh, no, it's fine, I'm glad you showed me this, I always wondered what happened to this thing, and I suppose I finally have some bittersweet closure," The medic sighed, closing the sketchbook.
"Are you alright?" The reaper asked, concern lacing his expression.
   "Mmhm," The medic nodded.
   "Crap, I messed up didn't I?"
"No! No! I told you reaper, I'm fine, really, do you mind if I help you clean up a bit?" The medic asked.
"You can help if you want, you don't have to though."
"I would love to help," The medic's somber look was hidden behind a wide smile. She set the notebook down and began to help the reaper with his cleaning.
