Catherine's POV

"So what is your favorite song right now?" Lexi asked me as we walked to Flourish and Blotts.

"Hmm... it's hard to choose. I have so many I just can't choose one," I giggle.

"I think mine has to be 'Believer' by Imagine Dragons," Lexi replied.

"I like them, my Godbrother likes the band as well. I think you guys would get along," I smile.

We walk in the shop and we get our books. I look forward to reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander. I love creatures.

"What class do you look forward to taking?" I ask Lexi.

"I look forward to Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Charms," Lexi stated.

"I look forward to Care of Magical Creatures. I think they're interesting," I inform.

We look at our lists as we exit the shop. That was the last thing on our lists. We both whine in disappointment, sad that we have to leave so soon.

"Maybe you can come over to my house and we can talk more!" I say, "Let me ask my parents. I just need to find them."

I stand on my toes, trying to look over the crowd. The word here: trying.

I groan, "Curse my smallness."

"It's fine. I probably need to get back to my grandfather," Lexi reassures.

We hug goodbye and she runs off to go back to the wand shop. I sigh, readjusting my school things in my arms. I head towards the end of Diagon Alley, a boy my age running into me. I drop all my things and I sigh, kneeling down to gather my things in my arms.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" The boy says.

He helps me gather my things and we stand. I got a better look at him, he has light brown eyes, dark brown hair that was literally almost black, a blue t-shirt on, black jeans, and black vans. He honestly looked kind of cute.

"I'm Alaric. Alaric Youngblood," he introduced.

He smiled at me and I smiled back.

"I'm Catherine. Catherine Malfoy," I smiled.

"Wow, I never thought I'd meet a Malfoy," he chuckles lightly.

"Alaric!" A male calls.

I look to see the same boy I saw in Ollivander's wand shop.

"Don't run off like that! You scared me!" He said.

The boy notices me and smiled.

"I'm Xavier. Alaric's older brother," he smiled.

"Only by five minutes!" Alaric scowled.

"I'm still older than you," Xavier remarked.

I giggled, "So you guys are brothers?"

"Yeah. You can't tell because we look nothing alike. Well except the skin tone," Xavier smiled.

"Catherine! Where are you?" I hear my mum call.

"Oh that's my cue! Bye I hope to see you guys later," I smile.

I run towards my parents. My mum has something in her arms.

"What's that Mum?" I ask.

"You'll find out when we get home sweetheart. I promise," Mum replies.

"Okay, can we go now? My arms are getting tired!" I whine.

"Yes, let's go," Dad smiles.

We take each other's hand and we Apparate back home.
