Chapter 17:Down Bad, Lifted up

I was sitting in the hospital bed beside leam my heart was heavy and i was all cried out. I cared for him like my own dad and laquan as my brother so seeing both of them hurt made me hurt. Shortly after me calling lace and telling him the news Lace busted into the room knocking me out of thoughts. Lace went straight to his dads side and tried to talk to him but he didnt get a reply. "Pops if you can hear me move your move your finger " we all waited for a movement but he didnt budge. I could tell lace was more hurt seeing his dad like that. He started to tear up as he sat in the chair next to the bed and holding his dads hand, but he sucked it up once he remembered million was in the room.

Days passed and passed and we all was still at the hospital right by leams side. Missions was due but lace didn't leave his dads side, so me and million took his on. Leam was our father figure and leader so without him we'll basically fall apart.

We ate food in the room and had little conversations every other hour. A few laughs filled the room but it ended once we came back to reality. Lace wasn't himself i could tell life was like bricks on his shoulders. With mior being pregnant and gone , with a baby on the way by a girl he doesn't want to be bothered with and his dad being more sick than we thought. He's had enough bad news i would hate for him to face more.

It was 3:00 in the morning and we were all knocked out. I slept in the chair and the boys made a pallet on the floor. We was so torn we couldn't even function right at this point. We just wanted to be with leam till he got better.

I got up to use the restroom, when i got done and washed my hands i opened the door to see million standing in front of the doorway. "Million why you up?" I whispered trying not to wake lace up. "I love you nyla" he said hugging me tight as ever and softly crying on my shoulder.

Million wasnt the mushy crying type of guy so hearing him cry was a shocker to me. "I love you too baby. I know you hurt , we all are but we gone get through this." I said hugging him back and rubbing his back.

Our embrace was interrupted by leams heart monitor. We remained still trying not to blow our cover as lace shot up out of his sleep and to his fathers side. We returned back to the other part of the room but at opposite times so lace wouldnt think we was doing nothing.

Leams heart rate monitor read a straight line and a endless beep filled the room as we all sobbed and cried. We heard nurses rushing down the hall to our room but we shut them out and continued to do us.

2 weeks later...

I loved mior like a sister in the short period of time of getting to know her. We did missions together and all, ive never been close to a female as close as i am with her. But for leam to have me fuck with the officer to get her time knocked down was asking for a bit much. Especially with me low key fucking with million he'll go off if he found out. But i couldnt see lace walk around drooped face and stressed out  each time i seen him so i agreed to do it.

I was walking into the mall catching every mans eye even ones that was with their girlfriends. My black pencil skirt and my red cold shoulder bodysuit hugged my slim thick curves. To complete the outfit i had on red --- red bottoms and a black and red MCM  purse with gold hoop earrings and a gold watch to match. I looked like that bitch that nobody could get, and thats how i liked it.

A couple niggas tried to holla at me but i kept it pushing shit im stressing enough over the nigga i already have to deal with everyday. Passing by almost every store in the mall and stopping by a few stores to get some more clothes to add to my collection. i got hungry and headed to the food court where i  finally came across the officer. I was expecting some old white bat eating doughnuts with coffee but this man was far from it. His brown muscular skin tone complimented his tatted up body. He had on a plain white tee and some red trues and red and white jordans and his waves was swimming. He looked good as fuck but he was a opp and me being the bitch i am ill never switch on my family for a fed.
