Razz fumes in his room. He paces, livid with his teammates, inside his training room. The gravity in this chamber has been increased a thousand fold. For Razz this is a starting point. His seals glow from activation. Razz looks at the ethereal flames clinging to his skin. He doesn't think much about the implications. Kinda because he doesn't understand the finer details. Mostly because the basics were all he's ever needed.

He thinks back to when Zaak explained the seals.

"Do you know what, in relation to the space time continuum, the infinite divisability theorem is?" Zaak says. Razz blinks a few times without changing facial expressions.
"No." Razz says slowly.
"Well it states that anything that can happen. Does happen, in an alternate and parallel universe. Also, as the universes cycles through death and rebirth multiple instances of your specific consciousness occurs. These "past lives" as well as the alternate versions of your existence are bound to one physical instance of yourself." Zaak finishes with a smug grin.
"Okay, but like, which one is me?" Razz asks. Zaak furrows his brow.
"What do you mean? They're all you."
"Yeah yeah yeah. But all these different minds. Which one has control. You know?"
"I kinda do. But it's like a normal mind. You have all these existences but you are you. The only way your existence can fragment is if you have powerful "souls" with opposite ideals. This is extremely rare."
"Oh... cool." Razz mutters.

Razz smiles. He's an exception though. Zaak had explained that Razz developed seals and assimilated other versions of himself without knowing. After being defeated by a physical manifestation of dark emotions he wandered in search of his darling, Sia. She held a pendant that reacted to the presence of a pendant held by Razz. Guided by his pendant he searched for years to no avail.

Sia had fought The Cold in place of Razz. But she was defeated and kept as a trophy. The Cold, now unhindered, tore it's way through realities feeding and growing. Eventually discovering a child named Kromac born to the same species as Razz. But The Cold trained and prepared him to be a vessel.

Razz is an Incandescent. Otherwise known as Fire Demon for their natural ability to generate fire and their uncanny talent for combat. Their population never rises above a few hundred thousand. This is because they are such powerful beings that the universe limits their numbers.
Incandescents aren't born from sexual intercourse. Every male is sterile and every female infertile. Instead, they are born from a massive fiery pit known as The Furnace. Every child is carried from the flames and given to a couple wanting to experience parenthood.
The child is also like freshly heated steel. Due to their physiology their DNA alters to match the DNA of the couple who cares for them. Upon their eighteenth birthday they are "tempered". They stop aging and their physiology is no longer influenced by their parents. From this point the typical Incandescent lifespan is about two million years.

Razz is Incandescent. But he was born from a legendary pit of fire known simply as The Forgotten Furnace. This furnace only becomes active when a threat to the species arises. By granting those born from it special powers it creates champions that guide and mentor the next generation of Incandescent. This is also the furnace that the child Kromac was born from.

When The Cold returned to earth Razz would be ready. He would fight the cold. He would win. He was ready for a fight. But not for what happened next. Ember, the Incandescent homeland, was annihilated. Every Fire Demon was killed in an instant by a warhead that creates an unstable supernova. Razz was the last of his species. Or so he thought.

Kromac stands in the rubble of Ember. And issues a challenge to Razz.
"Azriel, I Kromac challenge you! Come and face me! If you don't, you will never see Sia again!" Kromac roars out to the desolate crater. And with an equally thunderous boom Razz arrives, crashing into Kromac at full force. Kromac is sent flying and Razz draws Wailing Dark, a buster chime sword. (A chime sword is a sword that when struck is designed to reverberate at a frequency that allows it to cut through most objects.) While Kromac us recovering Razz slams Wailing Dark into the ground and drags it as he chases down his still airborne opponent. Kromac adjusts midair and parries Razz's blade. The deflection of the blow tears an enormous gash in the earth. Kromac plants his feet onto the ground and charges power from the Cold to ready a Killing Strike. Razz charges his blade with kinetic energy and Stardust to throw an Almighty Blow.
As their blades meet it changes the landscape for miles in every direction. Each cut and parry sunders the earth. Each clash craters the earth around them. And when they lock blades the sky above them parts to reveal a star filled night.
Razz, filled with rage, slams his sword against Kromac's, shattering both blades. Kromac stumbles and before he can recover is impaled on what remains of Wailing Dark. Razz's inner light lashes out, burning the Cold within Kromac.
Kromac feels his strength fade. He leans into blade letting it cut deeper.
