I wish that everything that ever came out of my mouth would evoke pure poetry

That I wasn't this mess of misunderstood words, this clumsy stutter of misspelled nonsense

I wish I evoked profound mindfulness,
A 'make peace with yourself and others' machine
I know I'd feel more worthy
My presence alone would be a constant reminder that the whole world is living within us

Sometimes I do feel it,
the flow of life
Like a river, flowing
The current, soft but persistent
It radiates from the top of my head, across my body and onto the tip of my fingers

And the air? Oh the air fills my lungs
They expand as if they held no limit
And I could breath for days, for months and years
I wish I wouldn't think twice when I wrote poetry
That it would just flow like that river across my body Spreading through the veins

Red and persistent
I know I'd feel more worthy
