Wednesday 20th of August
Dear Manny,
Remember when you told me that if I smiled at a stranger on the street, it might make their day?
Do you remember when you said if I talked to somebody that wasn't in my initial circle, I might make a friend?
But do you also remember the fact that I've always been too scared to do things like that?
I was always the shier one of us two and I hope that is something you're still remembering fondly about me.
So instead of me having to be brave on times like that, he was.
He might just make me smile but he's not you.
He can never replace you, Manny.
You're one of a kind.
I'll wait for a thousand years if you asked me to.
Sincerely,
Alyson.
