REAL LIFE

after hanging up on the boy, and also partner of their upcoming project, stevie knew for sure it was going to be awkward. awkward as in; she didn't know how to act around him after their previous argument next to several of others since they never have been all alone together – other than that, knowing the buzzcut boy has slipped and admitted most of his taunts were jokes, she somehow had to grin. however, it was crazy at how much the two teenagers were at each others heads with the occasional back and forth of throwing shade at each other. say, it's while lunch break or during class – he knew how to put the girl over the edge of flipping off into his face.

as much as the girl tried to find any reason ( even the dumbest and simplest ) to stay at her home and far away from the guy that had her feelings play crazy all of a sudden with one simple joke, stevie knew she couldn't fail the class just because of the embarassing situation which wouldn't have wanted to leave her head. every time she had to grimace and cringe at herself for a slight second at the thought of the stupid joke she had actually believed.

yeah so what is your definition
of a few bc you're still not here

rolling her eyes at stiles' lack of patience, she didn't bother to answer and head straight to her peach colored bicycle out at the front yard of the house after telling her mother on her way out where she was about to be at. silently praying her mother would've called her name and told the girl she wasn't allowed to leave, a kiss on the cheek and a wholehearted hug was all she received.

walking out the door into the front yard to get her bicycle, the sky was colored in the soothing midnight blue stevie loved – the night was one beautiful thing with the stars that shine so bright and the calming silence with the moon looking down to the little town. also she loved the fresh breeze brushing against her skin while stepping on the pedals and her shoulder length hair flying with the wind. a smile colored her face, the girl loved warm summer nights. she could've taken walks for hours just to enjoy the beauty of nature and the silence among the city.

sadly, the short ride eventually had to come to an end as she lend her bike on the fence that belonged to the stilinski's residence – her forehead immediately furrowing about the thought of him.

taking out her phone to let him know that she has arrived, stevie walked to the front door and after a minute she heard the fast footsteps of the moled boy whose hazel brown eyes shortly after looked right back into her own – his face wearing a smug smile.

»uh, hi.« stevie quietly greeted him, the awkward feeling and urge of wanting to turn around and leave straight home became bigger by every passing second. though, she didn't as the main point of why the girl was there, was too important to cancel because of something so stupid.

stiles stepped aside, gesturing her to enter his house while "greeting" her back with his usual manner, »finally, took you long enough.«

stevie rolled her eyes in slight annoyance; after years of being his classmate, she already knew how the boy was but still he was able to make her brood in anger because of him – only stiles stilinski was able to press that button to make her explode with one simple sentence she would've usually ignored and couldn't care less about.

»follow me.« he told her as he ran past her up the stairs to his room. stevie didn't bother to hurry, rather she scanned the house; each painting and each furniture. it was simple and normal, as every other house but his room was something else as she entered – a board with portraits of people and things he wrote down on it with several of red strings "decorating" the whole thing. she started to wonder what that boy had going on, or rather said what he was doing in his free time.

a quiet giggle got him looking at her, a questionable expression silently asking stevie on which she answered, »i definitely didn't expect to find this in your room.«

her finger pointing on the board. a knowing grin invading his face as pieces of memories with his best friend scott and the pack replayed in his mind – things stevie and most of the people in this town didn't know of; supernatural things.

»sometimes i like to play detective,« he explained to her, standing next to her figure that was facing the board. »i might want to become a part of the fbi.«

the girls head turned to his, an astonishing look plastered on her face at the plans of him, »wow, that's sick! and this time i'm not being sarcastic.«

a low chuckle escaped his slim lips, his fingers scratched the back of his head, »you being nice to me? this is a moment to remember.«

both giggles filled the room before silence creeped upon the both; neither of them loosing a word which was weird. usually they would've already be bickering about the stupidest things like, how stiles would look at her the wrong way for the slightest second or how stevie would've left one little piece of paper on his desk in class. even they themselves felt it; the awkward feeling rising as they for once actually didn't yell into their faces.

to break the ice, stiles inhaled for a short moment and mentioned, »we should, um, get started on working.«

»yeah, definitely.« stevie only agreed with nods, taking a seat on his bed but her thoughts still pondered about this unfamiliar situation – stevie was confused which not only she was, stiles shared the exact same confusion that caused several of question marks to fly around his mind all the while they began on the school work.
