REAL LIFE
___stinklinski 🖕🏻 IS CALLING...
stevie's phone rang in her hand as her very own nickname she had saved stiles as popped up on her screen the minute she has exited the chat with lydia. her eyes staring into the screen as it vibrated; her thoughts perplexed just like her muscles whether to accept or decline, but the impulse in this situation lead her to decline without thinking further. realizing right after the stupid decision she has just made out of slight panic – and also the fact that she stood right in front of stiles house – she mentally face palmed herself out of stupidity. to save herself, stevie opened imessage to give him a quick text.
( stevie )
don't call u dummy i was just
about to text u that i'm herestinklinski 🖕🏻
geez took you long enoughthe girl rolled her eyes – to say the least, her lips still formed unintentionally and out of reflex to a small grin on her face without even recognizing. though, the smile already has lost its place as soon as it hit the second the wooden door opened and there stiles stood. a plain shirt restlessly laying on his shoulders, grey sweatpants and slightly messed up hair – his brown eyes returning her gaze with that infamous smug smile on his face after he licked his naturally red tainted lips.
»you know,« stiles started, only to mock her as usual, »i really want to make a comment on your definition of "i'm there in a few".«
and again, her eyes were rolling to prevent the following smile that was about to form out of reaction. »you just did.«
he shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle and gave the girl space to let her step inside his home for the second time. before the doors sound of closing was even heard behind her, a deep voice that owned a man in a sheriffs uniform appeared around the corner whose walking towards the front door the teenagers were standing by. his eyes only looking up after he finished the sentence and readjusting his uniform, which instantly met stevie's ones.
»oh!« the older man smiled while attempting for a greeting to get into with stevie's own hand, »you must be stiles partner – stevie, right?«
the girl just nodded with a polite smile and returned his firm handshake.
»alright, night shift's calling. don't do anything stupid, son.« mr. stilinski half joked with a pat on his son's shoulder, but to put the cherry on top, just as the father was about to scoot right through the pair of teenagers to exit the stilinski resident, the last thing his father has shamelessly and with full boldness left the two with, had stevie's eyes widen in slight shock, »won't forget your name too soon, by the amount of times he has mentioned it already,«
with a last grin in mischief and playfulness, he left; only for the moled boy to throw his head back in embarrassment whilst the girl tried to act as normal as possible.
„how in hell am i now going to act normal?" stevie thought with a hint of negative excitement flooding through her veins – to say the least, she also wasn't very much able to ignore the even tinier bit of positive excitement inside of her mixed with the rest of feelings all together the girl rather tried to deny.
stiles sighed deeply before daring to look back into her face. embarrassment. a lot of embarrassment stiles was feeling.
»we should-we should uh,« stiles stuttered while avoiding her eyes »we should get upstairs you know, studying.«
stevie nodded with a slight grin – she could easily sense out the shame inside of him by his very obvious body language. she was questioning herself whether she was – just like him – more embarrassed by the fact that his father has exposed his son in front of her or more likely enjoying seeing him this uncomfortable.
»yeah, we definitely should.« the girl answered before they went to his room.
