Ch 4 Unexpected

Kimberly's POV

I had Gym Last period. So I was getting dressed, when I was thinking how easy the gym was going to be. It's like Childs play for a werewolf to be honest. It was crazy, how the dress code for the gym, is a sports bra and shorts. Like the ones for volleyball, But it was a girl's class so It was fine for any inconvenience.

Just imagine if Max was in my class I was thinking while blushing. What is his deal anyway, all this she mine shit Has to stop. I'm not some item on a shelf, these werewolves can just fight over. Like wtf

Somewhat Pissed and tired. I made my way to the gym to find a huge inside basketball court. The coach/gym teacher mr jones introduced the class instruction. We ended up running 4 laps and playing volleyball.

I hit the shower, washed my hair, and got dressed when a short blond girl walked up to me. She had a jean skirt on with a hi-rise top that said Ksubi across the front of it.

"What's that,"

she was pointing at my birthmark tattoo.

"Oh, it's a birthmark,"

I said while putting on my top.

"Are you max mate?" she whispered.

"H-how do you know.." I stuttered.

"I saw his name and wolf. Plus I can smell him on you," she stated confidently.

"Oh, well I'm Kim, "I smiled.

"I'm Stacy, the beta's Mate," she smiled.

I assumed she was Max's girlfriend somebody that attractive has to be taken, I finished getting dressed and grabbed my bag Before we walked out together.

I met up with Zach and walked to his car. "Get in," he chuckled. When he noticed I spaced out. It seems he forgot about what happened earlier with Max, I was thinking about Max though, like I never thought I would find my mate. It seemed hopeless as much as I moved around states, I remember when I and Zach made a pact when I was 15, back in Florida.

Flashback

"Kim I-I don't think I'm going to find my mate so I was wondering if we could try to date," Zach nervously asked.

"Umm-" I had a huge crush on Zach, but we were both mate-less. We've been friends since I was 10 and he was 11 for as long as I can remember he's been there for me, I could do anything with him by my side But I thought of something.

"Only on one condition, if I find my mate I can leave, and the same for you. So no permanent strings attached," I said confidently, Knowing it wouldn't be just that. I would accept him even though we aren't mated.

"Ok Ok, whatever you say,"

he smiled his trademark cocky smile and kissed me. I moaned while he bit my lower lip for access, and I let him we were fighting for dominance, and he won. It was getting heated but I knew we would never have sex because of my mate, or lack thereof (he would be pissed) but I just couldn't do that to Zack if I don't find my mate by 18 I'll let him deflower me.

I couldn't help but wonder if there was a mate for me still...

End of flashback

We finally made it, and I walked into the house with Zach hot on my heels.

"Err-I'll talk to you tomorrow," I said before walking into my house and trying to close the door.
