Ch 5 Loose Ends

Max's POV

God, I was so happy, I could finally spend some time with Kim. I walked off her porch, thought of my wolf, and shifted. It felt my joy exerting into my shift. When your calm, and shift are so unreal, it's unbelievable.

I ran towards the pack house, my wolf every so often yelps in joy from excepting our mate, and Kim excepting us even if it's partially. A win is a win. I ran faster and made it to the pack house. I shifted back, to no shirt and ripped shorts.

When a werewolf shifts they say that our clothes rip off. They lied I only lose my shirt, and my pants become shorts. I have so many shorts now, it's ridiculous.

I walked into the house, to be rushed by Jen

"Max," she screamed,

before running down the stairs jumping on me, excitedly kissing my face.

"Hey Jen, can we talk?" I said,

while heading upstairs after dropping her off, not waiting for her answer.

I walk into my bedroom and sit down.

"So what's up, baby,"

She purred while hopping in my lap.

"I found my mate,"

I said before pushing her out of my lap, creating some distance.

"Wh-What does this mean?" she whispered- screamed.

"It's over between us, friends with benefits/ fuck buddy, whatever it's done, I want her not you," I said with my alpha tone.

"What!" she screeched.

"Get out," I said.

"Why, we can make this work y-you can mate with me," she said, exasperated.

"No how dare you, GET OUT NOW," I said in my alpha tone. She ran out the door looking at the ground, with out my better hearing I wouldn't have heard her say "Yes, Alpha,".

I walked to my closet and pulled out my black off-white jeans, button-down white and grey off-white shirt, and white retro Jordans. I Showered and got dressed. I heard a knock at my bedroom door.

"It's open," Justin was at the door.

"Bro, what happened to Jen?" He questioned.

"We just broke up, or whatever," I stated blandly.

"Oh well, she's all pissed off and shit, slamming doors, I don't blame her. She just lost the almighty alpha, note the sarcasm," he said before laughing.

"Ha-Ha very funny has the meeting started?"

"Yea, everybody is out in the backyard,"

"Oh, ok I'm on my way,"

"Cool I'll be outside," he said, before leaving. I can't wait to see my beautiful mate, but will she be happy to see me.....

Kim's POV

I put on a blue flower sun dress and natural makeup and headed out. Mom and Dad were waiting in the car with Zach.

"Hey Kimberly," he said smiling.

"Hey Zachary," I said smiling back.

He chuckled and hugged me. "Ready to go babes ?"

"Yep, let's go," I said.

The drive was quick, and then we were at the pack house. We got out of the car, and Zach grabbed my hand. I let him even though it didn't feel right.

We headed to the backyard and then that's when I saw my new pack. It was huge with about 500 ish pack members including wives and kids, I assumed the other hundred or so were protecting the borders of our land.

Max came to the backyard and I almost jumped his bones at how sexy he looked.

"Come to the stage Johnson family,"

his velvety voice spoke. We walked up there and Zach was still holding my hand, I could see the anger and hurt in Max's eyes.

*Come to me babe,* he said through the mind link.

*ok* I said almost automatically.

I walked away from Zach and headed to Max before being yanked back. Max growled loudly that was hot In your mind kind of way.

"Let go NOW,"

he said In his alpha tone, and Zach listened and dropped my hand.

I walked to Max, and he looked like he was about to shift. I grabbed him and hugged his strong frame, it was like we were two pieces to a puzzle. I melted into his arms. He calmed down and finished talking after a moment.

"This is the Johnson family and their friend Zach, they are a part of this pack now so welcome them with open arms,"

he said before I could feel a subtle push into my mind, and then I could hear everybody In the pack saying welcome through the mind link.

It was like opening my third eye I felt like I could feel everybody and see everybody, it was a different feeling from being alone all this time. It never felt like this in Florida it may be due to the fact I'm the alphas mate.

*can I tell them we are mates?* Max asked. *Yes I guess so..,*I said nervously.

" This is Kim, my mate, and your future Luna,"

he said before I could hear gasps and lukewarm cheers.

"We are taking it slow so give her time to adjust to the pack,"

I could see nods of agreement from some and stares of envy from others, women and men included it was weird. I saw Zach and the hurt in his eyes before he walked away. I hope I still have a best friend don't you remember the pact?....
