Soaked

Bella's POV

I woke up to find a sleeping Nico tight beside me. Weird how did he get here?I looked up at his face that was pale and his nose was scrunched up. Just like when he was young.

Then I noticed our positions. His hands were wrapped around me protectively and my head had been buried in his chest.

AWKWARD MUCH?I looked over to Percy's bunk where he was still sound asleep. Phew.

I tried to get off him but his grip only tightened."Oumph! Dang it" I tried for another 3 minutes but I finally have up and just left it like that.

Then, a wicked idea came into my mind. I remembered the lessons of what I can do with my powers from the previous night with Percy.

As practiced before, I concentrated on lifting some water from the sea water basin at the back of the cabin.

I then brought it closer to Nico and I. After counting to 3, I released the water, letting it splash on Nico's face,soaking his shirt.

"Pfft what the hell?" He rubbed open his eyes.

"You were kinda..." I gestured to his grip on me.He blushed and quickly removed his arms so I can jump off my bed.

"So what about that walk" I started off a new topic. He hopped of my bed and smiled."Be ready in five."

I brushed my teeth and washed up, slipping on some white shorts and a short sleeve maroon hoodie. I chucked on my high-top maroon converse chucks and headed out.

Nico came out the minute I knocked on his door. "Fast for a girl" he muttered.

"I have my fabulous ways"

As we walked towards the lake, our fingers intwined(which made me feel complete), I got an idea.

"Let's play truth or dare"

"Okay"

"Nico, truth or dare"

He thought for a while and glanced at me, like he was trying to see how much was my innocence.

Finally he replied.

"Dare"

"I dare you to fly on a Pegasus and scream at the top of your lungs I'm a unicorn. You must also have a corn tied to your forehead."

"What?!!" He stared at me with utter horror.

"A dares a dare" I said nonchalantly.

In a heartbeat, he pushed me into the lake playfully.

"Hey!"

"What?You're a daughter of Poseidon I thought you'll be alright!"

With a flick of my wrist, I sent a deafening wave crashing onto Nico soon he was flung into the lake with me.

"I hate you" he murmured.

"I love you too!" I perked up.

I pecked him on the cheek before willing the water to lift me up until ground level. I stepped onto the pavement, instantly dry.

"Get me out of here too!" Nico complained.

I rolled my eyes, willing the currents to lift Nico up too.

"Aren't you gonna dry me too?" He asked.

I studied his soaking clothes, showing genuine interest before replying.

"Nah. You look better this way"

He grumbled. A pair of corpses rose.And started chasing me. I ran for my life as Nico chased behind the skeletons.

Before I knew it, I ended up at the dining pavillion.Nico exterminated the skeletons and tackled me onto the ground "don't ever spray me with water again" i just smirked and replied,"maybe,maybe not. Sorae for being fabulous" i added as the horn sounded. He gave me a last kiss on the cheek before standing up to let me move and headed to his table , still soaking wet.

I decided to do him a little favour and dried his clothes. He gave me a grateful smile before seating himself. As i reached my table, Percy bombed me with questions.

"Whats up between you and Nico?He rarely smiles or shows affection to anyone besides Hazel his half-sister"

"Nothing!"I defended."Ok Maybe. A little bit..Wait how many people saw the 'Nico tackles Bella to the floor and kisses her' session?"

"Not many, just about the whole camp" he said sarcastically.

"oh gods" my voice was partially muffled as i buried my head in my hands.

"Wait do you even know what happened last night or how Nico ended up in your bed?"

"Pfft of course i do!" ,he raised an eyebrow,"ok maybe not"

Percy recounted the whole story about what happened last night while we dug in after making the sacrificial offerings to the gods.

Finally, when he was done, and i was in utter shock, he asked if i was ready for sword-fighting though i didn't have a chance because it was time for the next activity.

Sword-fighting.

I was being paired up with Nico which was bad because i totally didn't want to use my skills on him. And his scary black sword.

Within 2 minutes, i was able to disarm Nico and i held my sword at his throat. When he surrendered i was paired up with another camper to defeat.Then another.And another. Until it was down to only a few campers left. Before i could walk over to Jason and try to beat the shiz out of him, Clarisse stepped in my way, that Ares kid.

I sighed reluctantly and twirled my sword in my hand 360° so i was holding it in battle position. "You may have beat the other campers but i'm not gonna be easy" I snorted as she striked. I quickly dodged. One thing i learnt about Ares kids was that they were always violent and never really thought about strategy.Which was probably why she kept coming at me. When she did disarm me, she sniggered "Who'd thought Poseidon kids were so easy to defeat? Give up?" But me being so cunning and fabulous i just murmured"Not quite" I thrust out my hand and immediately, my swrord flew to my hand. I ducked and taunted then finally, i had my chance. I elbowed her in the ribcage and grabbed her sword as she held it loosely. Soon, i stood behind her with my sword at her throat while her sword at her back. Campers nearby cheered at my victory as Clarisse surrendered.

i beated the other campers although it took a bit longer. And then it was down to Percy and I which made me freak because Percy was rold to be the best at sword fighting. So i was very relief when we came down to a tie because being humiliated wasn't on my to-do list.

Chiron clapped as he trotted towards me. "Im impressed." he concluded. "i hope to see more from you" he said as he trotted off. Once he was gone, Percy wrapped his arm around me "sis when did you start to learn how to sword-fight?" "Maybe around 12..." I replied honestly.

As it was free period now, i went to visit the Pegasi stables, I hadn't even seen how it looked like yet!
