Sickness

Bella's POV:

I woke up feeling terrible, my forehead was sweaty, I felt heated up and was tossing around on the bed. I guess I made Nico feel pretty cold cause the blanket was lying on the floor. 

Otherwise,  I was sick.

Nico's POV:

I woke up, partially because I suddenly felt freezing cold. I tilted my head to see Bella sweating and lying in an awkward position. 

"Oh no oh no oh no this cannot  be happening" I quickly carried her bridal style towards the infirmary, still in my pajamas. 

Campers stopped to stare at the ambassador of Pluto carrying the hydra slayer running barefoot. 

I kicked the door open and ran towards Will Solace.  "Oh my Hades she's burning up!"

Bella's head slumped against my chest.

Will quickly ushered us to a nearby ward. And set her down.  After running a few tests,  Will concluded that Bella was down with flu and she would need to be kept in the infirmary for a day to tend to her wounds too.

The ward was simple with a bed and side table with a platinum television in front. There was a sofachair beside the bed for visitors.  And the decor.... was depressing.  It was a bland yellow with little suns dancing on it.

I grabbed a hand towel, doused it in cold water and placed it on her forehead.  I grasped her hand and began singing an Italian song we both loved back in our days.  Her eyebrows furrowed.

" Gee is my singing that bad?" I joked.

"Nah its actually beautiful compared to mine"

I whipped my head around to see Percy Jackson leaning against the doorway.

" Pfft. Obviously I freaked out when my little sister didn't come for her daily waffles"

He walked towards the bed. "She looks so pale, is she alright? " He stroked her cheek.

"Mr Solace said that she was just coming down with flu, out in a day"

"Oh that's good, about the song..."

"Not a word" I blushed.

"Oh yeah, I brought her something! " He pulled a bag from behind him, a bag with a stack of blue waffles and syrup.

Bella's nose seemed to sniff deeply. "Waffles?" She murmured as she struggled to sit up. I quickly adjusted the bed.

"OH MY GODS! PERCCAAAYYY!" She lunged herself at Percy.  He chuckled and gave her the waffles after the intense hug.

Bella smiled sheepishly. "Sorry Neeks, my brother is actually really huggable its been so long since we hugged"

She gave me a side-hug since it was awkward in front of Percy. "I better go I have to train some youngsters" Percy grinned and strutted out.

"Oh my Hades! Do anything but teach them how to be sassy!" Bella called after him.

"I am Persassy! No one shall stop me in gathering my sassikins" He screamed. 

Bella rolled her eyes.  "I still can't believe I love him"

I smiled fondly. "I guess you're stuck here for the day"

"If you stay here, I'm fine with that"

"Gods! Leo's cheesiness is rubbing off you"

Just then, an Apollo child came in. I narrowed my eyes,  it was a male teenager. I felt my guard go up instantly.  Especially when the teen winked at Bella. Fortunately,  Bella had her bearings, the guy was actually pretty good looking.

" Hi, I'm Bryan and single"

Bella smiled innocently. "Hi. I'm Bella and taken" She gestured to me and planted a kiss on my cheek.

Bryan scoffed. "You will choose him over me?"

"I will choose him over anyone and everyone. I personally feel Nico is way more better than you"

Bryan scowled "Whatever, you're missing out"

"Missing out on what? I don't see anything"

Bryan scowled took a handful of bandages and cream and dumped it on the table before stalking out.

~After 5 seconds~

"Talk about terrible service" I joked.

"This is one messed up place" Bella agreed.

I took the bandages and cream and started re-bandaging the wounds. When I was finishing up, Reyna and Connor walked in. They were holding hands and staring at their feet.

"A relationship is never going to work jf you have no form of communication" Bella finally said.

Reyna straightened up,"Ok. Get well soon Trojan, they suspect a quest" My stomach clenched.

Suddenly,  Connor pat his pockets, "Wait where did it go?"

I turned to Bella. A small amount of water dropped a set of keys in her palm. 

"This is Chiron's am I right?"

Connor hung his head in fake shame "yes it is"

" I'm proud of you son!" Bella leaned over and whispered in Connor's ear just so I can hear it. "No I'm not. Return it or schist is about to get real"
