No ones POV
It was the first day of spring. Meg,Calvin and Charles Wallace had finally finished their adventure. Everything was finally over. Well not to meg and Calvin at least. The whole day that adventure has been on both of each other's minds. Each other had been on both of their minds. Especially Meg's. She just couldn't get the things that Calvin had said to her, out of her head

"You have no idea how incredible you are."

Those words wrung in megs mind for hours and hours the rest of the day. She never looked at herself that way. Did Calvin really see how incredible she was. Was she incredible at all. The thoughts circulated her head unlit the buzz of her phone went off making her jump right out of her school desk chair. She got up from the carpet to look at the phone that had frightened her so. She let out a quite sigh at the relief of Calvin's name. The number that Calvin had given her was right there on the screen with his name right above it. She jolted her hand to the answer button.
"Hey." The Calm voice said from the other line.
"Hey." Meg replied feeling the blush come over her face knowing that she actually talking on the phone with Calvin o, Kleefe.
"Umm crazy day today huh?" He mentioned braking the solemn silence of the second.
"Oh yeah it sure was.....crazy." Meg replied feeling dumber of her choice of words. They felt stupid to her.
"How are you doing with your dad and everything." He asked curiously for meg.
"Umm well we still have a lot of catching up to do, but other than that it's great." She answered smiling at herself for his caring self.
"That's great" he smiled knowing she was ok.
"Umm how did your dad react to you coming home." She asked with instant regret. Maybe she overstepped her bound.
"You don't have to answer that actually." She then tried to make up for her insensitive words.
"No it's fine." He protested against her. "He didn't take it well and there was a lot of yelling but nobody got hurt." He told her hoping she would be satisfied with his words. What meg didn't know was that Calvin's father had instead hit him across his face and left a bruise. He rubbed the light purple bruise as he spoke.
"That's good I'm happy that your ok." Meg froze as she noticed the words that may have expressed some feelings that meg was experiencing.
"Thanks I'm happy that your ok to." He responded feeling a smile coming to his face. Meg blushed a light shade of pink at his words. She then felt the vibrations of the floor to her doorstep. The light knocking of the wooden door let her know that it was Charles Wallace for he was the only was who ever really knocked without saying anything
"Come in Charles Wallace." She yelled a bit. Charles pattered his way towards meg.
"Hold on Calvin Charles Wallace is in my room." She spoke to him looking back at Charles Wallace.
"Calvin's on the phone?" He asked with utter interest.
"Umm Yeah Do you want to  speak to him." She asked sweetly. He shook his head.
"No but can we invite him over for dinner." He asks in a begging matter. Charles Wallace barley ever begged for anything and meg new she wouldn't mind having Calvin over. She reconnected
"Hey Umm Do you maybe want to come over for dinner." She asked nervously.
"Yes...I mean....yeah sure." He said almost instantaneously. It was a bit suspicious but instead meg felt flattered.
"Cool you can come over early if you want." She said going for a long shot.
"Yeah sure. I'll be over in 5" he said and then hung up. Meg turned her face to Charles Wallace who had a satisfied smile on his face.
"So why did you want him over Charles Wallace." She asked with great suspicion.
"Well I could feel you thinking it meg." He proclaimed. She felt a light blush come over her once more.
"How do you do it" she asked confused. But Charles Wallace only shrugged and left the room closing the door behind him. Meg shrugged off his weirdness and then made her way downstairs herself. She came to her mother and father.
"Umm I know that it's bad timing but can I invite Calvin over for dinner."  She asked with shear hope. Meg's mother gave her a glare.
" is Calvin the one who helped save me." Her father asked.
"Yes father." She answered hoping for the right answer.
"Then yes of course." He replied with a grin.
"If your father says so then ok." Meg's mother then accepts flatly. Meg smiled and hugged her parents.
"Thank you." She smiled  again. Minutes later meg felt the buzz on her phone with a text teller her that Calvin was at her doorstep. She went outside stepping into the moonlight. She faced Calvin.
"Hey" he smiled at her with his pearly white teeth shining.
"Hey." Meg gulped. She immediately noticed the bruise on his cheek but decided not to say anything yet.
"Umm Do you want to go in." She asked sweetly. He nodded. Meg opened the door and walked in with Calvin Walking in behind her.
"Calvin and I are gonna go upstairs to my room bye." She said passing her parents quickly. Calvin waved to them and the two adults smiled and waved back. The two teens made their way to Meg's room. Once they got their Calvin admired the room looking around. He went to the main window that held a beautiful view. Meg stepped towards the moonlight that shined threw the window next to Calvin.
"It's so beautiful." He said with amazement as he admired the breath taking view of the garden.
"Not during a storm it's not. It's actually really terrifying ." She said sadly rubbing her right arm with her left.
"Well if theirs another storm anytime soon then you can call me and it will make you feel better." He said comfortingly making meg smile. She took into thought bringing up the bruise on his face but she knew that it wasn't a good time. Calvin looked at her and admired the beauty that only he could seem to find in her. Meg noticed the staring and began to blush. She hoped it would not be noticeable in the moonlight. Meg caught him staring and Calvin knew that yet he continued to look at her eyes.
"You have really pretty eyes." He admitted confidently and sweetly. Meg looked down on the ground and blushed harder. She didn't want to show the bright smile that had arisen on her. He took a step closer to her.
"Thanks." She said looking up at him. Calvin felt utter shock. For she had never really accepted a compliment other than the one time Meg noticed his surprise. She looked confused and Calvin felt the need to explain himself.
"Oh it's just that you've never really accepted a compliment before." He said with a bit of a smile. He felt special knowing that he must have been the first one to make her accept the type of words. In fact he was.
"Well I just feel like I can around you." She admitted with her face still down. He blush deepened and could feel Calvin's eyes locked on hers.
"You didn't before." He differed from her words.
"That was before." She blurted thoughtlessly, instantly regretting it all.
"Before what." He asked curiously and anxious for the answer. Well she was trapped. She knew that. Suddenly a knock on the door caught both of their attention. Charles Wallace then opened the door as he felt the need to help meg at that very moment.
"Mother said that dinner would be ready in an hour." He said with smile towards meg. She knew that he had done it on purpose and she appreciated it very much. He left in the next second and meg felt safe from the conversation. Calvin looked at meg who had walked on the opposite side of the room. Saved by Charles Wallace. Meg felt relieved but knew that eventually she would have to give Calvin an answer. And it probably would be very soon.
