Friday morning. Although today was that Calvin would find meg it was also the day he was supposed to go on his first date with meg. He was devastated over this. Calvin woke up after having terrible nightmares of meg and his fate. He had a headache from the lack of sleep because of all the nightmares and he overall felt depressed. He got out of bed and sluggishly got dressed and went downstairs. He skipped breakfast and went straight to school. As he walked in he noticed Veronica as she smirked at him. He clenched a fist tightly and continued on his way. He went to class with his mind focus on meg. Most teacher had called on him and told him to pay attention. How could. The best thing that ever happened supposedly hated him and was missing. He couldn't get that out of his head. He also couldn't get the image of meg looking at him with hurt in her eyes when the kiss happened. He kept reimagining it over and over again until it made him yell a bit out loud at himself causing people in his current class to stare. The embarrassment was nothing compared to the shame he felt for falling for Veronica's manipulative plot against meg and him. He had cracked.

The end of the day didn't seem to come soon enough, but Calvin got through it. a little flame if excitement went through him for a second when it came to finding meg. But after the moment he sank back to grief and worry and met with the strange mind of Charles Wallace.
"Hey Calvin ready to go find meg." Charles asked with utter excitement. Calvin wondered how Charles Wallace could be filled with excitement and curiously at such difficulty times.
"Sure am." Calvin replied poorly with a fake smile.
Calvin and Charles Wallace made there way outside and then held hands. They then closed there eyes and tried really hard but yet when there eyes opened they were in the same place.
"I'm sure I'll get it." Charles Wallace said with still a smile.
Nothing worked though. They tried for an hour and a half and still nothing.
"Ugh this isn't working." Charles yelled at himself getting frustrated. Calvin then sparked an idea.
"What if I try." Calvin suggested as Charles paced back on fourth with his arms crossed. Charles froze and look at Calvin.
"If I can't do it what makes you think you can" Charles implied in a snappy tone. Calvin walked up to Charles Wallace and put his hands in his shoulders.
"Jut give me a chance." Calvin said staring as Charles right In the eye. Charles huffed and nodded his head. Calvin close his eyes as he held hands with Charles. He thought about meg. How mush he missed her. How much he cared to find her. He felt in a state of happiness when he thought about her. This made him think of how to find her. Calvin opened his eyes to see Time wrinkling. His face lit up as he knew that he was tessering. He began to walk around and eventually he began to see light. Everything was bright and colorful. Calvin felt purified for a second until he made it to a land of bright yellow, tall grass. A familiar view filled Calvin mind. He shook his head and then looked around for Charles Wallace.
"Calvin you did it" Charles Wallace ran up to Calvin with glee and tugged in his lower red jersey.
"Yeah I did." Calvin smiled.
"Wait how did you do it." Charles paused and looked at Calvin with serious question. There wasn't a doubt in Calvin's mind that Charles Wallace was a little jealous of the Calvin was able to tesser and not himself.
"I..I guess I just thought of meg." He said showing a bit of a half smile while scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh of course. The Ms's did say that the secret component to tessering was love." Charles Wallace said plainly  as he tapped his chin. Charles paced back in fourth while Calvin turned a light shade of red at the thought of what Charles Wallace said. Calvin shook his head and looked at Charles seriously.
"It's not the time to think about how I did it. We need to find meg." Calvin told Charles Wallace with fire in his eyes. Charles Wallace nodded with his eyes wide.
"Alright so how do we find her." Calvin asked getting straight to the point.
"Well I suspect we are on Camazotz so I think we must find central central." Charles said without batting an eye. Calvin looked at him blankly.
"How did you know that we were on Camazotz." Calvin asked.
"Well it just looks like when we came for the first time and because you were the one that tessered I bet your mind took you closest to meg." Charles explained to Calvin who was totally distracted by the genius that was Charles Wallace. Calvin then smiled at Charles and shook his head.
"How do you do it Charles Wallace" Calvin asked with mystery in his voice. Charles shrugged and began to look around. Calvin had a feeling that Charles Wallace was looking for central central again. Calvin decided to look around as well.
"Hey look." Charles said pointing at a house that looked just like Meg's. The house was down a tall mountain that they would have to run down.
"Maybe megs in there." Calvin guess not getting to exited just so he could be filled with disappointment.
"Maybe lets go." Charles Wallace told Calvin and then began to run to the house. Calvin stared blankly for a second and then followed him. As Calvin walked through the tall dried out grass, he thought about meg and the last time he was there. He tried so hard not to think of the her smile that he adored. He tried not to think about when she blushed. He shook his head and realized he was already at the house. The two boys walked up the doorstep. Calvin reached his hand out to the door knob but then jolted back his hand a bit. He looked at Charles Wallace who nodded his head at him. Calvin placed his hand on the door knob and the door creaked open slowly.
