Nightmare was taking Ccino out to a different AU, like usual. Nightmare made it his habit to take Ccino out to different worlds and timelines and- leave Ccino there and not bother to take him home. Nightmare would then visit the same AU the next day to find that the sans of that AU took Ccino home. What Nightmare is doing might seem like something an asshole would do, but Nightmare is already an asshole, so there was no avoiding that. Ccino's negative emotions would increase everytime Nightmare would leave him, so Nightmare was just basically feeding off of Ccino's negative emotions, and.. Ccino didn't seem to mind, much to Nightmare's delight.
This time, they were in Outertale. They were having a stroll, admiring the star and the beauty of the AU. Ccino had a grin stuck to his face, amazed with basically everything in Outertale. Nightmare was preparing to leave, like always. He looked over to Ccino with an annoyed look on his face. 'He's been too happy...' Nightmare thought to himself before he shifted his gaze somewhere else. He looked up at the stars for a while. He honestly liked it here. It was peaceful and qu- his thoughts were cut off by Ccino.
"You know, I like this universe! Thanks for bringing me here.." Ccino said, a gentle smile on his face. Ccino continued to pet the cat that looked like Fresh in his arms, happy with what happened today. Nightmare kept quiet, the same annoyed look on his face. Ccino started to worry. "Are you OK?" Ccino asked, his tone filled with worry. "I'm bored. I'm leaving." Nightmare said in his usual cold tone. "Oh, okay. But are you going to take me home?" Ccino asked, hoping that Nightmare would take him home this time. "No, I don't want to." Nightmare replied. "But.. I don't know how to return to my universe." Ccino said, clutching the Fresh Cat.
Nightmare let out a sigh. "That's not my pro-" before Nightmare could finish that sentence, Ccino attacked him into a hug. Nightmare was about to push Ccino away but.. he heard a sob. He somehow felt bad. "Please... Don't leave me again.." Ccino said in a quiet and pained voice. Tears rushed down Ccino's face, quiet sobs escaping his lips. Nightmare stood there for a second unsure of what to do. He took in a deep breath and sighed.
"I'm sorry..." Nightmare mumbled, looking down at Ccino. He didn't know why he felt bad, but he didn't like it. Ccino continued to sob. "I-Im sorry If I keep doing something wrong.. I'm sorry.." Ccino would apologize again and again and again. Eventually, Nightmare shushed him. "It's not your fault. I'll take you back." Nightmare said, pulling away from the hug. In all honesty, Nightmare already got what he wanted; Negative emotions.

The two were in the cafe now. Nightmare was enjoying a cup of coffee- it was cappuccino. Ccino was huddled up in his cats, sleeping peacefully. Nightmare sighed.
"I'm sorry.."
