Killer sat somewhere behind Nightmare, his head down. He's been stuck with Nightmare for a while after Cross found him somewhere while Color was away-

Nightmare though that to prevent Killer from getting away again, Killer would have to stay near Nightmare at all times. So far, his plan was working.. kind of well.

Color has had several attempts on getting Killer back, but it all failed from the very beginning, mostly because Killer was kept too close to Nightmare- but he planned another one, and he thinks it's the one that'll push through.

-Timeskip-(?)

Color was outside Nightmare's castle, hiding somewhere behind the tall grass. He still couldn't believe that the castle was surrounded by so many tall plants- It's like an army could surround it and they wouldn't be noticed.

Color pulled out a small map of the layout of the castle. He turned his head to Dream, Ink, and Blueberry, who he convinced to help him- Well, it was pretty easy to convince them so it was just kind of like he asked them.

"Okay, so, when we enter through the this window," Color started, pointing at a window near Nightmare's 'Throne' "Cross, Dust, and Horror will pop out and probably try to stop us. There's also Nightmare with his weird tentacle things trying to get Killer away." Color continued, drawing small circles to represent Cross, Dust, Horror, Killer, and Nightmare.

"Ink, you'll take care of Cross. Dream, you'll get Horror. And Blue, you go to Dust." Color explained. The only one left was Killer and Nightmare, who he has to deal with.

"Any questions?" Color asked, looking up from his map with random circles everywhere. Ink raised his hand before getting a nod from Color.

"Why do I get Cross?" Ink asked, tilting his head a bit. "Because (The author is Crink trash) you're the most capable with handling him or something." Color shrugged. Ink let out a sigh and just gave a nod.

-Timeskip-

It went badly. Everything went badly. Nothing went as planned. Nothing worked, but they got Killer out of the castle.

But- It sort of came with a price.

Color was clutching onto Killer, barely staying alive at the moment. They were so close to escaping, but it seemed like Nightmare predicted it.. so he was able to hit someone's sould before everyone made it out.

And that lucky person happened to be.. Color, if it wasn't obvious yet.

Color was slowly dusting, his legs already gone. He was in an indescribable amount of pain in the moment, but he wanted to stay with Killer- at least for a little bit longer.

"L-Listen, Killer.. Don't let my d-death hold you back.. ok-kay? I lo-ove you, don't f-forget about me.. okay..?" Color started, his body starting to dissapear.

If Killer could cry more, he would, but he was basically a mess right now.  I mean, who wouldn't be if you had to watch someone you love die in front of you?

Killer was just sobbing into whatever was left of Color, begging him not to go.

But he did.

Ink stepped in after a moment. "Come on, follow me." Ink said in a rather dull voice. He took all of them to another timeline- where Killer died instead of Color.

And Ink left the two alone.

Killer was somewhat happy- and so was Color.. but..

deep down, they both knew that it wasn't the same. This wasn't the one they loved. The one they loved is.. dead.
