Kindapped?! pt. 2 (Fluffynight)

Ccino was back at the cafe the next day. Dream decided to visit the cafe before Nightmare arrived to.. gather information, or something similar. He sat by the counter before Ccino noticed him. Ccino approached him with a grin and immediately introduced himself. "Hello! Welcome to the Cafe. My name's Ccino and.. you're new here, right?" Ccino asked with a small smile on his face. Dream returned the smile and had a quick plan be made in his head. Obviously, he couldn't tell the coffee skeleton his real identity because Ccino might tell Nightmare about it, so now he was just trying to think of what to say.

"Uh, yeah.. I'm.. uh-... Star..berry- Yeah, Starberry." Dream said as he put on a nervous smile. Ccino just kept his smile, not paying attention to how weird Dream was acting. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Starberry! Can I call you Starry instead? Also, what do you want to order?" Ccino asked as he took out a small notepad from his pocket with a pen, ready to write whatever they want to eat or drink. "Oh! Sure. And.. do you.. have cheesecake..?" Dream asked, tilting his head a bit. It was the only type of cake he could think at the moment. "Of course! Would you like a slice or a whole cake?" Ccino asked as he wrote down a few things on his notepad. "Just a slice, please." Dream responded before Ccino nodded and left.

Ccino came back a while after with two plates. He placed one down in front of Dream and one in front of him. He sat himself down and let out a sigh. "I hope you won't mind me staying here with you.." Ccino said as he stretched his arms a bit. "Oh! Of course!" Dream exclaimed, picking up a fork before proceeding to eat his cake. Ccino was about to eat his cake, too, but his Fresh cat approached him and basically plopped himself down on Ccino's lap, so of course he had to stop and give his Fresh cat some pats first.

Dream looked over to him and let out a small 'awe'. "He looks familiar." Dream commented, smiling at the cat. "Yeah, I get that a lot. People say most of my cats look like a lot of random people." Ccino said as he picked up Fresh cat and placed him on the counter, finally eating his cake right after.The two continued to chat about random things that popped into their head, their conversations mostly being about cats and what they do for a living. Ccino's was obvious already- he works at the café. Dream had to lie, though. "Oh! I, uh... I'm... part of the royal guard..!" Dream said as he put on the most convincing smile he could muster.

He was doing great. Eventually, Dream had to leave since it was almost time for Nightmare to arrive. He could sense his aura from a distance. "OH! Hey, I really need to leave! I just realized it's pretty late and my friends might try to burn our house down again! I- uh, I'll be back, maybe!" Dream quickly said as he got up and dusted the non-existent dust off of him. "Oh, okay! I hope I'll get to see you again, soon. You make me unusually happy for some reason- so.." Ccino replied, trailing off in the end. Dream just nodded and rushed for the door.

Nightmare arrived not too long after. He looked exhausted. He sat down by the counter before Ccino greeted him. "How was your day, Nighty?" Ccino asked as cleaned up random plates sitting on the counter. "Don't call me that. And, it was going good but I saw Dream somewhere here before getting here. So, I'm guessing he followed me again the whole day but kept his distance." Nightmare explained before letting out a sigh. "I did a lot of things today and I just hope he didn't see it. And I hope he isn't still following me right now." Nightmare said before he buried his head in his arms. Ccino just listened in while wiping the counter clean.

"Mind if I nap here..?" Nightmare asked, lifting his head up a bit. "Go ahead and nap. I'll wake you up when the Café's about to close." Ccino replied, a gentle smile on his face. Nightmare didn't even wait for Ccino to finish what he was saying before he buried his head back into his arms, heading off to sleep right after. A moment later, when Ccino was sure Nightmare was asleep, he quickly snapped a photo of Nightmare sleeping. He laughed a bit at the picture since his Fresh cat photobombed it, but he was still keeping it. He better get it printed.
