Paige’s POV
“Ok hun, here’s your audition number. Wear this at all times while in the waiting room. When you hear your number called, make your way to the stage as soon as possible. As your number is being called, you will have five minutes to be on stage. If you are not there by then they will skip your audition and move on to the next, good luck and remember to have fun!” I could already feel the nerves start to kick in as I made my way to the waiting room. I couldn’t believe how many people were auditioning for the X-Factor. I could tell just by taking one look around the room how much talent there was this year. I found an open chair towards the back of the room and took a seat. As I was going through the lyrics of my song over and over in my head, I was startled to find the presence of a boy next to me. He tapped on my shoulder to get my attention.
“Do these jeans make my butt look big?” he asked me while posing dramatically.
“Don’t blame your fat butt on those jeans, it’s not their fault.” I replied as a smirk appeared on my face.
“Good one, I’m Louis, Louis Tomlinson.” he chuckled, as he held out his hand to shake mine.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Paige Summers.” I felt awkward letting those words slip past my mouth, I wasn’t usually that formal.
“The pleasure’s all mine,” he said jokingly, “so you sing?”
“Yep, and probably a lot better than you.” I stuck my tongue out at Lou as I heard my number being called.
“I hope you mess up” I heard Louis yell as I walked to the stage.
“You wish.” I managed to say before making my way on stage.
